Rethymno Village

We stayed at this hotel for 15 days as a family (5 people). The establishment is ideally located, just 5 minutes from Rethymno. Access to the expressway and the main road is very convenient, which makes it easy to reach the south of the island. You are also about an hour from Heraklion and Chania. The beach is within walking distance and equipped with lounge chairs. Nearby, you will find a very lively street, lined with numerous taverns, restaurants, boutiques, and shops, which makes the stay even more pleasant. The establishment recently benefited from some facade renovations, giving it a more modern and welcoming appearance. Upon our late arrival in the night, we were able to take possession of our room without difficulty, and a snack was waiting for us in the refrigerator, a gesture that was particularly appreciated after the trip. The hotel is impeccably clean and perfectly maintained. The housekeeping staff does remarkable work, despite the lack of respect some travelers show toward the premises. The rooms are cleaned daily with great care. More generally, the entire staff is kind, smiling, available, professional, and always ready to help. Regarding the dining, we had read some negative comments before our departure, but our experience was quite different. It is a continental buffet; therefore, it is normal for some dishes to appear regularly. This does not prevent you from varying your meals by combining the side dishes and the offered main courses differently. The products are of high quality, well prepared, and the cooks strive every day to offer local specialties, thus allowing you to discover the flavors of Cretan cuisine throughout your stay. We recommend this establishment without hesitation, as it brings together all the ingredients for an excellent vacation on this magnificent island. Its location, the quality of its services, the cleanliness of the premises, and the kindness of the entire staff make it an address that we will gladly recommend to those around us. My family and I stayed at this hotel, which wouldn't even be bad if only they enforced the rules of etiquette and prevented certain unpleasant behaviors. To begin with: rooms are quite small but clean. Very poor quality and repetitive food. At the restaurant, there were people entering barefoot or in swimwear. People used the restaurant plates to feed the cats or threw food on the floor, causing ants to arrive. You often ate your meals at the outdoor tables and had to put up with people's cigarette smoke. There was no smoking ban, except in the lobby. All this happened without anyone ever intervening. The pool was used without showering before entering and without a swim cap. People would dive in wearing t-shirts. The staff was also kind and committed to fulfilling our every request, but the manager should enforce the rules. An experience to forget.

A nice hotel with short distance to a small shopping street and short distance to the beach. About 10 minutes by bus into the old town. The hotel itself was clean and nice. Beige tiles and glass racks. Great great pool! The family room we got was big! Two bathrooms, two air conditioners, two TVs. Good cleaning. The food was good. All in all worth the money (not so expensive either). We would love to go back☀️
