Horizon Beach Resort Hotel

We really loved our stay at Horizon Beach Hotel! The staff is super kind, always sliming and making a quick chat. We loved our time at the pool, directly above the sea. There are stars that lead to the dock, where you can jump into the ocean. The pool also has a bar. This is where we met Giannis and Stellios, two great and funny guys who served us with a smile. The only thing we wished that could improve are the beds. At first they are quite firm, but you will get used to it.

I went to horizon beach resort on Crete for 8 days and booked through corendon. The hotel is reasonable. What's unfortunate is that for 4 days there were 50 children who used the pool. And the pool is already small!!! After filing a complaint with the reception, Corendon responded that the children's daily program had been adjusted. Unfortunately, this was not the case and the 50 children were back the next day. So they do nothing with a complaint! Furthermore, the dining room is a cross between a company canteen and a crematorium. Very gloomy and no appearance.

I stayed at the Horizon Beach Hotel with my boyfriend for 1 week. We loved this hotel; the staff was very welcoming and kind (whether in the kitchen, housekeeping, or reception). We ate very well, and the view from the restaurant is magnificent. They also offer a snack bar next to the pool (in addition to the self-service) with gyros at lunchtime (it was excellent). Moreover, the hotel is very well connected; there is a bus stop just a few minutes away on foot that allows us to go to Hersonissos (a favorite for us), Malia, or even Heraklion, and it is very affordable (we paid €8.80 round trip for both of us going to Hersonissos). We can even easily walk with the sea right next to us, the beach is a 15-20 minute walk away with shops and restaurants nearby. I recommend it 100%!
