Minos Mare Royal Hotel

Well, where to start?! One word… FANTASTIC I am very well travelled and only have stayed in 4 or 5 star hotels and this was right up there. the location is superb within a 10 minute walk of the town. The hotel is in a peaceful location and walking via the pool the beach is right in Fri t.. you will need beach shoes as tbere are pebbles on the waterline but the beach is sand. Free loungers and umbrellas on the beach and pool and never had a problem getting one. Tbe hotel itself is absolutely immaculately clean! The staff are wonderful also. The little hotel shop is so cheap!! Coming from England I can’t believe how cheap it was as usually hotel shops are expensive. Have high standards when it comes to food and I really couldn’t fault it. The staples were there all the time but the food changed daily. Fresh and well cooked. The room was lovely and the bathroom had lots of space to put things and a lively walk in shower. Hotel bar closes at 11pm if you are on the standard all inclusive and 1am if you’re on the other type. Hotel entertainment starts at 9pm and ends at 11pm If you’re on the want a place thats party party then I wouldn’t recommend but if you’re on the want a quiet, civilised relaxing break… look no further than

We spent a 10-day stay at the Minos Mare hotel, and it was nothing but happiness. The establishment is impeccable: the rooms are cleaned every day with care, and the common areas are perfectly maintained. The dining is excellent, with varied and flavorful dishes, as well as a wide selection of desserts and fresh fruits. A big thank you also to the waitresses at the restaurant, always smiling, attentive, and very friendly. The pool is superb, and the beach, located just behind the hotel, is remarkably clean. Swimming is safe thanks to the lifeguard present at the seaside. The little extra is that they bring you a drink on the beach 🏖️. At the reception, the manager speaks very good French, which is a real asset and greatly facilitates communication. The garden, beautifully landscaped and perfectly maintained, offers a pleasant setting to relax. There is also a table tennis setup in the shade as well as a dart game. Every evening, the hotel offers a different entertainment program, including musical shows or local dances that allow you to discover the culture of the country. During the day, the activities are more limited; that is the only small point I could mention. For the rest, everything was perfect. We loved our stay and are leaving with wonderful memories. We recommend this hotel without hesitation! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

. The hotel was clearly overbooked, and the way it was handled was unacceptable. They thought it was acceptable to put an 84-year-old disabled guest on a sofa bed in one of the children’s rooms. As compensation, they offered a bottle of fizz and some fruit — which felt completely inadequate, especially at an all-inclusive hotel where these things are already included. We were told this was a “one-off”, but sadly I saw it happen several times during my stay, so that explanation does not feel accurate. If you have more than one room booked and are checking in late, I would strongly recommend calling ahead to confirm your rooms are actually available — otherwise you may find yourself facing the same situation. Unfortunately, there were other service issues too. Potering staff entered rooms without knocking, even when the “Do Not Disturb” sign was displayed, which was a serious lack of respect for guests’ privacy. It’s a real shame because the hotel itself was great: amazing food, good drinks, and a lot of positives. Unfortunately, the experience was badly damaged by what felt like prioritising extra bookings and profit over guest care, comfort, and the overall holiday experience. A very disappointing situation.
