Blue Dream

Our stay at Blue Dream Apartments was disappointing in several ways. The accommodation did not meet expectations or the booked category. Below is a detailed summary of the deficiencies: ROOM FACILITIES – UNSUITABLE FOR THREE PEOPLE • Lack of space: Although booked for three people, the apartment was clearly designed for two adults. A look at the hotel website shows the identical room with only two beds. The subsequently added third bed made the room extremely cramped. • Furniture: The kitchen table and terrace table were far too small for three people – obviously designed for two guests. • Outlets: There were only a few outlets. KITCHEN – FUNCTIONALLY INSUFFICIENT • No hot water: There was no hot water pipe in the kitchen. This was only established by the owner himself after our complaint. Since no proactive feedback was given, we asked again about a possible room change. Only then was it confirmed that no hot water is available in the kitchen in any of the apartments. • Consequences: Dishwashing was only possible by boiling water beforehand. Frustrated, we avoided the restaurant several times – which counteracts the purpose of a holiday apartment with kitchen. • Facilities: The kitchen equipment was extremely scant: no tea towel, no oven glove, no basic spices such as salt or pepper – only a sponge was available. • Hygiene: The extractor above the stove was heavily soiled. The baking tray was also heavily soiled on arrival. SERVICE AND HYGIENE – BELOW AVERAGE • Toilet regulation: Toilet paper was not allowed to be thrown into the toilet, but had to be disposed of in small garbage bags and placed outside the door. Due to smell and appearance, we have taken the garbage to the central collection point ourselves every day. • Towel change: Towels were exchanged only after five days and only on request. CONCLUSION The accommodation was deficient in several respects and did not correspond to the booked service. Particularly annoying was the lack of transparency in the equipment and the insufficient response of the owners and tour operators. Despite contacting us several times, we are still waiting months for a suitable solution. I cannot recommend Blue Dream Apartments or booking through HLX Touristik and Holidays.ch.

It has been a very good experience; the owners are very friendly, the location is good for visiting the entire North Island, the facilities are sufficient and clean, the pool is incredible. Very good family atmosphere, especially if you are planning an accommodation without many people, that is, without noise. The capacity will be about 20 people in total approx.

Property located in the resort of Velonades not far from the beaches of the coast easily accessible. Recommended the car for travel although the bus service is frequent and the stop nearby. The apartments are located on the ground floor and first floor, all overlooking the pool and equipped with a balcony or patio. They are equipped with the necessary for a small living room although the equipment of the kitchenette should be implemented with some extra accessories. The bathroom is quite small, while the studio room is quite large. Very nice also the balcony, in our case we were on the 1st floor. The reception was excellent, Dimitra, the owner is nice and kind, speaks Italian perfectly and is always available for any need or information. The beds are not very comfortable and the family room has a bunk bed which is ok for those with children not too big. Air-conditioned room and excellent cleaning, with change of towels after 3 days. A small bar is available by the pool. Nice swimming pool with umbrellas and deck chairs. Internal parking for the car. Nearby there are dining options and in a few minutes you can reach restaurants and supermarkets. It is an ideal solution for those looking for a foothold to visit the north of the island.
