We booked a last-minute holiday to Bruskos as we wanted a great base with a nice pool to explore the island. On arrival, we were greeted by Kostas (the director of Bruskos!) with a smile and a glass of sparkling wine. The next morning, we went to the pool bar/restaurant for breakfast and were greeted by Irini (Kosta's mum). She was so friendly and welcoming. She was super excited to tell us about what was on offer for breakfast and that the oil in the jars was her homemade oil! We bought some oil on our last day, and she then presented us with some Kumquat liqueur, which I'd had in a Kumquat spritz whilst lounging on the comfy sunbeds, by the beautiful pool. The whole time we were at Bruskos, we felt like family, and we were so sad when it came to saying goodbye after a short 5-night stay. Some notes on the resort and surrounding areas. - Beautifully decorated rooms - which were renovated just a couple of years ago. These are kept sparkling clean by the very friendly housekeeping staff. No need to worry about shampoo, conditioner or shower gel. These are provided, and smell lovely. - Pool area is beautiful, with different types of loungers, including balinese beds for shade, on very hot days. - There is also a hot tub for the cooler days. - Food and drinks purchased at the pool bar are absolutely perfect and reasonably priced. The barmen knew how to make a good cocktail! - There is free car parking just opposite the main entrance into the hotel. - There are some beautiful local tavernas and bars within a 5-minute walk. We tried lots of them! - Small beach with some rocks within a 5-minute walk or a larger beach within 20 minutes. - Bus stop outside the hotel. - Larger resorts such as Messonghi, within a 20 minute drive. I travel a lot and genuinely have absolutely no complaints. We'd love to return, and highly recommend.

Where to start... when we arrived we were greeted immediately by a big smile and a very welcomed bottle of water and glass of prosecco by Angelo. We had booked a deluxe double room. It was spotless with a coffee -machine- iron -hairdryer -slippers and toiletries. House keeping were excellent with the room cleaned daily and towels and bedding changed every three days. Pool and bar areas were also kept spotless along with all sunbeds sanitised down every morning and pool cleaned by a underwater hoover at night. Breakfast was buffet style with a different choice of pastries and prepared eggs daily. Bacon- minu sausage and hash browns were available daily along with various other dishes I particularly liked the spicy sausage in tomato sauce. There was cheese- cold meats- cereal and of course greek yoghurt- olives and feta cheese. A selection of fruit juices unlimited hot drinks and prosecco for a breakfast bucks fizz! Irini is very attentive and a wonderful hoste. She arranged trips for us to Paxos and corfu town with pick up from the hotel. Farther and son team Angelo and Spirios were on hand serving wonderful cocktails and other beverages all day . The food menu is a little limited but nevertheless the portions are large and well presented. There are a couple of tavernas and bars within a short stroll away. The main bulk of tavernas- cafes and shops are about a 25min walk away. We ate mainly at Malibu and Kafesas both excellent. Note the portions are huge! There is a land train that travels around but unfortunately it doesn't stop near Bruskos. If it did we would have maybe tried more places. If your looking for a relaxing quiet holiday Bruskos is perfect. Its not for those who are looking for nightly entertainment or local transport to get about. Which made it the perfect place for us.
