Galaxias Adrias

Thank God we finally left this hotel. This was Hotel Galaxias in Gouvia, and without a doubt it was the worst hotel experience we have ever had. We have travelled to several countries, and even the hospitality we experienced in Bosnia and Serbia was far warmer and more respectful than here. The moment we entered our room, we were hit by a horrible smell. The room smelled like something had died. It was musty, old, and completely neglected. The walls were damaged and scratched, the furniture was worn out, the TV barely worked, and there were large insects in the room. The bathroom was an absolute disaster. The bathtub was uneven, and the shower was so tiny that it was almost impossible to wash properly. You had to keep turning around because there simply wasn’t enough space to shower normally. On top of that, housekeeping moved our personal belongings and handled them without our permission, which we found completely unacceptable. It made us feel like we had no privacy whatsoever. When we reported these issues to the reception, we never felt that anyone genuinely wanted to help. Instead, we were treated as if we were the problem and as though we had done something wrong. We were also told that towels would be charged if they had even the smallest trace of makeup on them. We were informed that the charge could be €10 per towel. Upon arrival, we were required to pay a €160 room deposit, which we found excessive. Air conditioning also came at an additional cost. There was often not enough toilet paper, and the toilet barely flushed properly. The rooms were not cleaned regularly, yet we were repeatedly warned and almost punished over issues that were not our fault but simply misunderstandings. Throughout our stay, we felt that the staff intimidated guests rather than helped them. We were constantly told that we would be charged extra for the smallest things or even threatened with being removed from the hotel. The swimming pool was poorly maintained. Leaves were floating in the water, it did not appear clean, and the sunbeds were old and unstable. Almost everything came with an extra charge. It genuinely felt as though nothing was included in the price and that every opportunity was used to charge guests even more. In all the years I have travelled, I have never experienced anything this bad. We never felt welcome in this hotel—only stressed, uncomfortable, and under constant pressure. Instead of enjoying our holiday, we spent the entire stay counting down the days until we could finally leave. I would never recommend Hotel Galaxias to anyone.

I was there in July from 8 to 15 bad organization check in at 2 p.m. moved to 4 bad breakfast and very poor quality air conditioner filters full of dust as the bedroom and bathroom and furniture towels never changed as the sheets maximum 2 times good only the location close enough to ypsos is easy to move

BEAUTIFUL HOTEL WITH VERY GENEROUS STAFF WHO GAVE US ADVICE FOR ALL THE VISITORS OF KERKYRA. CLEAN ROOMS AND FANTASTIC POOL. THE AREA HAS MANY RESTAURANTS AND YOU CAN EASILY SPEND THE AFTERNOONS IN GOBIAS. THANK YOU!!
