Louis Corcyra Beach Hotel

This was our first All Inclusive experience so we were not absolutely sure what to expect. We arrived early afternoon and our room wasn’t ready so we were directed to a restaurant for lunch whilst it was finished. Once shown our room I immediately asked to change rooms as I was travelling with 2 teenage children and the family suite we had booked really didn’t have enough space for twin beds (nor was the second bed made up). I came down to Guest Relations and they moved us to a much bigger room where we all had space to move around a bit. We still had to wait for the second bed to be made up. Note: our Family Suite with Inland view was at the back of the main hotel. 75% of the view was lovely over the rear pool/trees but immediately beneath us was the staff entrance and storage area for air con units, food, etc, essentially an area screened off at ground floor level but not so well from 2 floors up. We just couldn’t afford the sea view option but in reality it didn’t cause any noise and we barely spent any time on our balcony. The mini bar was free and restocked daily. I wouldn’t say beds were re-made brilliantly but you could tell housekeeping had been. The air con and ceiling fan were appreciated. Lights in wardrobes, slippers and towels were all provided. The grounds are pleasant and well kept. Various activities were on in the rear pool and everyone was friendly. The pools open at 10am but a few people arrived early to collect hotel provided towels and sit around from about 9am. Just about enough sun loungers for everyone but often people moved around creating more spaces. We couldn’t use the app to book restaurants as it said no availability so a trip to guest relations got us a booking at each restaurant throughout our week long stay. We ate at the Greek restaurant which was okay, spacious but lacking a little in ambience. We also ate at the Seafront Grill but in all honesty the menu was limited, nothing appealed and there’s a bit of a wasp issue. They had tried to solve that burning coffee (?) but people had complained about the smell. We decided not to eat at the Italian as we eat that cuisine regularly at home. The World Buffet was actually the best option for us. So many places to sit, table service for drinks, food was varied and well stocked and although a busy environment, everything was delicious. We didn’t use the spa - at around €150 for a massage it was just too expensive. We used the bus to get to Corfu which was relatively easy, with some help from reception with a map. We also walked to the Marina for a look around and a drink and it was nice to see Gouvia, a much quieter village rather than a resort. Staff regularly offered drinks to those on sunbeds and tips weren’t expected. The kids played pool and went to the gym which they seemed to enjoy but most older teenagers stayed with their families in the evening playing cards etc. Yes it’s definitely more of a family hotel for younger children which means it’s busier and nosier (there are over 300 rooms) but there are plenty of quiet spaces to sit and relax. The hotel is under the outwards flight path of the island so you do hear and see the planes but there’s so much else going on, waterfalls, kids, music etc that it wasn’t a disturbance to us. After a week we’re were ready to head home, we’d eaten well, sunbathed and relaxed in the 30 degree heat - all of which was pretty exhausting!

We booked a holiday at the Dreams resort half way through the holiday the hotel changed to Hyatt without being told. Items in the room were not replenished especially the sanitary waste bags for the last 5 days after complaining to reception

I couldn’t fault this hotel. One of the best experiences in an all inclusive I have had. Food in buffet was so good. Staff very friendly and helpful. My bungalow was gorgeous. Service was impeccable. So impressed with the place.
