Popi Star Hotel

We arrived at this hotel towards the end of june 2026-july 2026, this is our first couples holiday and we felt to share for that as all we got was complete and utter stares for even sitting at a table together! The lady at reception was extremely rude to say the least, and let’s not even get started with the rooms! Wifi does not reach the room and if we wanted connection we had to sit at the door on the floor! Beds are rock solid which isn’t great for my partners back. Bathrooms filled with mould, absolutely disgusting and as an asthmatic this is no good for me! The room came extremely unclean, even the small fridge provided was filled with mould, house keeping does not clean the rooms, and has not changed the sheets not once in our so far week stay, they shouted at us for having the air conditioning on, and even entered the room one day although the do not disturb was on the door. Bathroom extremely unhygienic, bath came with no plug (unsure who would want to have a bath in it anyway due to the state), went down to reception the day after we arrived as they only gave us one bath towel and one hand towel for two people, so went to reception to see if we could get an extra towel and was greeted with “ you only arrived yesterday, we don’t do that, towels are changed every 3 days” , also asked for a plug for the bath and was told no. extremely unwelcoming environment, extremely rude staff, (other then the man at the bar, we have been greeted with a goodmorning,hi,goodnight etc) and warm smiles from him. guests in the hotel extremely unwelcoming, not too many food options, we’ve ended up eating spagbowl nearly every night, as that’s pretty much all their is unless you want fish soup. however, the location is great. tourist attraction, up the road is a place called “fresh” that does coffee etc, amazing people, very welcoming! we went back multiple times! and extremely helpful. he explained to us if we went to the next town over which is only a 10 minute walk, we would find resturants where the locals eat, which honestly was a much better option, with much better tasting food! we paid for half board, and feel as though this hasn’t really been furfilled, due to the lack of options, oh and the only free drinks are water, and not even from a bottle, from the tap, with no ice and it is warm! personally, if your here only for a few days, and you think you could cope, go for it, but wouldn’t go for more then a week! and could not come here again. completely ruined our holiday. noise level was okay. our room was at the back so didn’t hear the roads. atmosphere was disappointing, and disgusting.

Location is ok. Rooms are humid. Cleaning staff does a horrible job. They don’t change towels every day and don’t even pick up trash in the room. Sloppy staff at best. Food is decent. But if you stay for more than 2 days you will be staying in a dirty room without clean towels. Would Not recommend. Stay away.

Really Loved this Cute little Hotel. We might pop back in September!! Me and my mam stayed end of may. All inclusive. I wish they still did all inclusive because I absolutely loved the food, very authentic greek food lots of BBQ style meats and the salad was so fresh and delicious, honestly for the price we paid. I think £380 each was a bargain. Staff was soo Friendly, And lots of places to eat out down the picturuess streets, I didn't like the beach though because it was abit cobbly so I'd suggest the water shoes but we did get a buss to Corfu town and there was a little beach there witch was nice
