Apollonia Resort & Spa

Pools and rooms are great. Our kids loved the aqua park area and we spent most of our time there. This area only has soft drinks and no food which means it’s a walk for a beer or an ice cream. I feel it could stay open a little later than 18:00. Who wants kicking out of a pool when it’s still 30+ degrees. Food was nice, but I felt there wasn’t much variety. Lunch and dinner was pretty much the same. No themed nights or anything. There are 2 speciality restaurants ( Greek and Italian). If you want to visit both, you can’t unless you stay for 14 nights. We stayed for 10 nights. Found this to be a little strange as it’s usually 1 visit per stay to each in all other hotels we’ve stayed at. We chose Greek which was really nice. There was only one other table in when we ate. The main restaurant can get really busy, the queue for the puddings are often massive. Mainly because people are queuing for the ice creams. There’s no branded soft drinks on the all inclusive package, it’s rola cola I’m afraid. We hired a car for 2 days from Mercury next door to the hotel. We had a great time exploring the island which I recommend. Finally, if you want night entertainment look elsewhere. This was by far the worst evening entertainment I’ve ever come across. Bingo went on for what seemed like an eternity. Karaoke was dreadful and the men vs woman was painful. There’s no shows or anything. A few simple changes would really make this hotel a 5/5.

We have just had the most delicious meal at Trattoria Oliva! I had a mushroom pasta dish and my daughter and husband enjoyed a classic carbonara. The chef, Spiros, is outstanding making simple flavours beautiful. The service was excellent too- Effie and Ali couldn’t do enough for us including making our little one laugh and smile. She loved the ice cream especially! Definitely worth a visit if you’re staying at the hotel!

Absolutely amazing time here. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. I’d definitely be coming back.
