I tried to book a few nights for a larger family group for Aug. While the hotel was busy some availability was showing online. I tried to verify the options over the phone 3 times but was told to email. Never got a response therefore didn’t get to stay but the lack of communication does not bode well for this level of standard. I will not be booking in the future.

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ We stayed at Emelisse Nature Resort for three nights and left with mixed feelings. There is no doubt that the property itself is beautiful. The setting is spectacular, surrounded by nature with breathtaking views over the Ionian Sea. The rocky beach is truly one of the highlights of Kefalonia and easily the hotel's greatest asset. It is the main reason why we are giving three stars instead of two. However, what ultimately matters at a luxury resort is not only the location but also the overall guest experience. At a nightly rate of €400–500 including breakfast, we expected a level of service and attention to detail that simply wasn't there. One of our biggest disappointments was the availability of experiences. Upon arrival, we were informed about the hotel's spa treatments and boat excursions, which sounded fantastic. Unfortunately, both were already fully booked throughout our entire stay. We don't understand why these experiences are actively promoted to guests if there is realistically no chance of booking them. Another issue was the lack of communication between departments. We repeatedly received different answers depending on whom we asked, and on several occasions staff members seemed unaware of information regarding services within their own hotel. This created unnecessary confusion and does not reflect the seamless service expected from a luxury property. The staff were always polite and friendly, but friendliness alone is not enough in this price category. What was missing was the level of training, anticipation, confidence, and attention to detail that distinguishes truly exceptional five-star hotels from average ones. Technology was another weak point. The Wi-Fi connection was unreliable and often unusable during our stay. In today's world, reliable internet is an essential part of any luxury hotel experience, whether guests are working remotely or simply planning their day. Ironically, our room still featured a DVD player, which felt like a strange priority when basic internet connectivity wasn't working properly. Breakfast was decent but not memorable. The homemade cakes were a nice touch, although we personally found them far too sweet. The breakfast itself was good without being exceptional. The complimentary shuttle service to Fiskardo was perhaps the biggest surprise. Instead of a vehicle matching the image of a luxury resort, guests are transported in a very old Mercedes van. The ceiling showed visible signs of mold, and the air conditioning was not functioning properly. This is simply not the standard one expects from a hotel positioning itself in the luxury segment. Overall, our impression is that Emelisse has an incredible location and beautiful architecture, but the service, infrastructure, and operational execution currently do not justify the premium price. If the hotel charged around half of its current rates, we would probably consider it good value. At €400–500 per night, however, the overall experience falls well short of expectations. We appreciate the beauty of this place and genuinely wanted to love our stay. Unfortunately, the experience never matched the reputation that this hotel enjoys online. We would not return at the current price point and hope the management invests more in staff training, guest experience, infrastructure, and operational quality, because the location certainly deserves it.

Such a beautiful spot, amazing views and great access to Fiskardo and surrounding beaches. Amazing views right out over the northern point and the property gardens are stunning. The adults only pool was great to have - and the breakfast buffet / coffee was all good. Lunch snacks were good size and healthy. Gym was fitted out well. Parking is a bit limited - we had to park on the public road. Walking bush track access to Fiskardo (although there is a complimentary shuttle which was a bonus). Stay for 4 nights - picked a Garden View large room (a bit disappointing as the furniture was a bit dated / rustic-ish). Did provide feedback on Day 1 although no response / follow up. Definitely not White Lotus luxury but nice relaxing time all the same and great location.
