If u want to relax in lovely surroundings with beatiful views this is the place to stay, although only 5 mins from airport in taxi (15 euros, bit steep considering its so close) & about 10 min walk to restaurants - most would need a car to see more ! A day trip to Argostoli to see the turtles is highly recommended - only 2 eoros on local bus.
Now lets get to downside,, met at 'reception' by a friendly man who even took us to local shop in his car (15 minute ride away & with us carrying heavy bottles of water etc this was a blessing). We seen him about 3 times in the whole week we were there when i had to ask for..
Coathangers. as there were only 4 between 2 of us for a week.
A kettle - which a couple of days later i found had a permanent film of scum floating on the top!
A toaster, which i was flatly refused - terrible self catering facilities with being stuck so far away from shops etc!
Not even left an emergency telephone number to contact anybody - incase of an emergency or even a general question!
All in all, we had a perfect week chilling in the sun - u must go to private cove out the back. but i have never experinced a place with nobody around or with practically no reception! Hooe you enjoy the planes landing and taking off just out the front entrance as much as we did, added to the experience 😎

I think it's fair to say we're Kefaloniaphiles and in recent years we've had to consider package holidays as doing the full DIY became expensive as a consequence of rising flight prices to the island. For the 2015 visit we knew the location of Grey Rocks and were offered a reasonable deal by Low Cost Holidays - so we took a chance.
The apartment we had was roomy and very well furnished. For much of the time we had the small complex to ourselves and with views to the sea and fine weather - bliss. Towels and linen changes etc was a bit hit and miss but our hosts were very friendly and only a phone call away if needed. Someone was generally around at some point in the day. The wifi router sat outside the rear of 'Reception' and we needed to be in reasonable proximity outside to log on.
Now, if we had apprehensions, it was because of the close proximity of the airport runway. In all honesty, we really didn't find it a problem and if anything it was part of the fun. There are the odd early flights in and out but with doors closed and air con on you really don't notice them. .
You do need a car for the duration of your stay. We used Pefanis and they were great and our car almost new (see pics). The nearest Tavernas are walkable and good, but there is so much more choice if you're mobile. The same goes for beaches. There is a small secluded cove just a stone throw from the apartments, but access in and out of the water isn't easy unless it's very calm. Ammes beach is superb and walkable. Here, you can float on your back and watch the planes come into land!
We'll certainly be coming back.

The Apartment was very clean and spacious with lovely sea views, The owners were very welcoming and helpful upon our arrival.
The Apartments are only a 10 minute taxi drive away from the airport witch costs around 10 euro, You will need a hire car when staying here as the apartments are not near any restaurants or shops, nearest place to eat is about 10 minutes away by car.
Would definitely stay at these apartments again in the future.
