A family run hotel that prides itself in taking care of each of its guests and making them feel at home. The rooms are well presented though showing some signs of wear, the towel hook fell off the wall and the plug cover in the shower was worn so it did not attach, disappointingly the air conditioning was fixed at 18 and at times really struggled to cool the rooms. Despite the close proximity to the road, our room that was near to the road was quiet.
The pool is small and ideal for younger children and due to the wonderful beach location rarely used. The beach was safe, shallow and the only real worry was the temperature of the sand! It was a short down hill walk to the beach.
Our greatest concern was the prepared food at breakfast and our four inclusive meals within our 'beyondbeach' package did not include any ingredient information nor any form of labels about the food being served. We always had to ask.
Our family included one person with a severe nut allergy and another a vegetarian, disappointedly the offering at breakfast was identical and in the evening for a vegetarian was very similar. The buffet style seemed to favour a first come first serve with requests for more replenishment of the various options met with not the expressions you would expect.
For families with similar dietary constraints and they were all forward to the hotel, I would have expected greater awareness and understanding.

Excellent family run small hotel, really excellent food and genuinely nice people. Hotel run by family owners and all water sports etc by Beyond Beach. A great place to take the kids for a week with BB organising dinghy sailing, cycling etc etc.

We stayed at the Lazaratos Hotel as a result of booking a Lixouri Bay Beach Club holiday with Trek Adventures (also amazing by the way). I'd not paid too much attention to where we were staying and only read reviews on the hotel after we'd been there a few days. I was so surprised to learn it's only 2 stars as this place is fantastic.
The family couldn't be more welcoming and you definitely leave feeling like part of their lovely family. As someone else has said, we were all given hugs when we left and I genuinely felt a bit emotional to say farewell. They all make a huge effort with guests and just don't stop smiling.
The hotel has everything you need, is clean and good food. The pool bar lunch menu is particularly good value - a wide number of delicious options for a start and then really reasonably priced. The rooms are clean and a decent size - the only small complaint would be the shower was quite snug but it's really nothing in the grand scheme of things as its only for a week or so and you can survive! The beach isn't private but feels like it, the sea iw warm and it shelves gradually which allows plenty of play space for all ages. The beach bar is a lovely place for a couple of sundowners with new friends at the end of the day. We had a fantastic week and are already talking about a return visit in 2024.
