The Aigli 1800 Boutique Hotel

Our stay at Aigli in the heart of the old town was simply fantastic! The location is perfect—just a short stroll to the main strip and the marina—yet tucked away enough to offer a peaceful and authentic vibe. We travel to gain experiences, and this place truly delivered one. The room was spotless and full of character, blending style and comfort beautifully. The bar had such a cool, laid-back atmosphere, and our host was incredibly warm and welcoming. All in all, a unique and positive experience in Lefkada. Highly recommended for anyone looking to truly feel the spirit of the island!

I loved my stay at the Aigli! I had a wonderful upstairs-room ('Earth'). The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and there were plenty of windows for daylight. I also enjoyed the Cuban nights in the garden. The atmosphere was relaxed. Gabriela and her daughters are great hostesses!

The hotel is a lovely restored set of old buildings with rooms set off a picturesque enclosed courtyard. Rooms are full of character and comfortable. My wife and I first stayed here in 2013 and it was peaceful and very enjoyable…… However, there is now a Cuban bar with loud music using the same courtyard until the early hours of the morning, the bedding did not fit the bed, there was no water or coffee provided in the room despite asking and having a lovely coffee pod machine. Having to telephone ‘reception’ at 0030 to ask when the music will stop to be told it says on booking.com there is a Cuban bar is pretty poor! So if you like late nights/early mornings - great, however for a boutique hotel it has an identity crisis. A decision needs to be made as to whether it’s a hotel or a nightclub/late night bar! We are regular visitors to Lefkas and there are much better hotels!
