Ilena

I spent a very pleasant three days at Ilena in September 2023. I was upgraded to a spacious and clean upstairs apartment with sunny balcony. The owners were very helpful. Breakfast by the pool was a feature.

We stayed here for almost two weeks in September and it was perfect. A short walk to both beach and town, with the most beautiful lush gardens. It was a relaxed and chilled atmosphere with very friendly and helpful but unobtrusive staff. Great little pool bar that seemed to be always open even when (as was often the case!) there was only one or two people at the pool. Great cocktails too. We had breakfast on our last morning and it was delicious, fresh and huge - and a total bargain. We had a large family apartment and it was spacious, private and comfortable with two balconies. Good power in the shower and excellent WiFi throughout the hotel. Bin emptied every day and fresh towels and sheets every three days or so. I’d definitely stay here again if I come back to Acharavi. What a beautiful and relaxing experience! Kyana and her family will make you feel as if you have come home. Located perfectly between Axharavi beach and village, Hotel Ilena is clean and simply furnished, with excellent hosts. Kyana does everything to make one feel cared for- with a range of beautiful breakfasts- from a yoghurt honey muesli walnut fig option to bacon eggs and tomatoes. Freshly squeezed orange and great coffees are never in short supply. And the figs and incredible tomatoes are grown on a local family farm. Day trips within Corfu were efficiently arranged by a tour operator who brings the tickets to the hotel. All Covid regulations are adhered to and there is a doctor close by for fit to fly tests. We are definitely returning!
