Great Hotel, attentive employees, good food, lovely pool and love the pebble beach. But there are some negatives, people reservering sunbeds before breakfast and our room in the main hotel although good is not 5 star, especially the bathroom. Simple things like no vanity unit or shelf to store you shampoo etc. PS You need to be a mountain goat for the walk from the beach to reception, but the golf karts are always on hand..

We just had a week at this hotel. Very quiet as adult only . Located outside main town and requires car or taxi for evening/ day activities . There is no onsite shop so taxi ride to buy any necessities.
Staff were very helpful and attentive .
We were given a room upgrade which turned out to be a low level room with limited sea view ( view of a tree and restaurant entrance) , cramped furniture, poor airconditioning ( requested maintanance check but nothing happened) , uninspiring patio area with low quality furniture .
Aircon had to be switched off at night as so noisy and remained between 27 and 29 degrees when on.
Opening times of facilities ( pool, restaurants. Bars) very confusing and more seemed to be more closed than open.
We ate 2x at the simplicity restaurant - good view, service and lovely food BUT no atmosphere at all - decided to join most other guests and spend evenings off- site in the town ( €8 taxi each way)
First time ever I have stayed in a resort and not used the pool at all - stuck to the beach which was nice butvalso had broken wooden pallet beds and stained matresses .
2 reasons for this ....
1. Pool only open from 10Am to 6PM - so no chance of an early morning pre- breakfast or late avening sunset swims in the pool .
2. From as early as 7am guests are allowed to put out towels around the pool and block beds with shade ( limited in number). Forget trying to get a bed near 10 am when pool opens ! Staff quoted 90min limit on leaving towels but never saw this enforced . Lifeguard just shrugged when asked about this twice.
Shame as pool is large with great views - but again desolate at sunset due to bizzare hours and not very inviting area to spend time in. They could make it so much nicer if was open!
Overall a pleasant stay but numerous irritations that you dont expect in a supposed 5* resort .

We booked a Main Building Sea View Room expecting the standard of accommodation you would associate with a 5-star hotel. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment and nowhere near 5-star quality. In all honesty, I wouldn’t even class the room as a 3-star.
The room was extremely basic, dated and in desperate need of renovation. There were no tea or coffee making facilities, and when we asked at reception we were simply told that this wasn’t something the hotel provides. The toilet flush only worked intermittently, meaning we regularly had to remove the cistern lid just to flush it. The shower had very low water pressure and was positioned over the bath, making it inconvenient and unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. The beds were uncomfortable, there was no full-length mirror, and the Wi-Fi in the room was virtually non-existent.
We raised our concerns with reception shortly after arriving, but were simply told the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing they could do. We also contacted our tour operator, who confirmed there were no alternative rooms available, leaving us with no option but to stay in accommodation that fell well below our expectations.
The one redeeming feature of this hotel is its location. The beach is beautiful, the sea views are stunning, and the grounds are well maintained. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
Breakfast was disappointing from the very first morning. We sat down and asked a waiter for a drink, only to be told to get it ourselves. The food selection was limited, and much of the bread and pastries appeared stale. None of the restaurants or breakfast areas were air-conditioned, making meal times uncomfortable in the summer heat.
Service throughout the hotel was poor. During one evening meal we asked for a half carafe of wine, which had been available everywhere else we’d visited on the island, but were told they didn’t offer it. Before our food had even arrived, the waiter brought us the bill, making us feel rushed rather than welcome. Many members of staff came across as unfriendly and uninterested.
Another issue was the lack of sunbeds. Unless you reserved one very early in the morning, there was little chance of getting one later, despite hotels generally discouraging this behaviour.
To top it all off, when we checked out, we weren’t asked if we’d enjoyed our stay, thanked for choosing the hotel, or wished a safe journey home. We were simply handed the bill and told to pay it along with the €120 tourist tax. It summed up the level of customer service we experienced throughout our stay.
We’ve stayed in many 5-star hotels around the world, and this is by far the most disappointing. The accommodation, facilities and service simply do not justify a 5-star rating or the premium price charged. We feel the hotel is misleading in how it is marketed, and sadly left feeling completely ripped off.
We would not recommend this hotel.
