Club Hotel Casino Loutraki

Location fine. Hotel requires significant renovation. The television and the phone in the room did not work. The room we had was an obstacle course, you had to walk around the TV to get to the bed. The position of the TV was to low, so if you got reception, you would have to sit up to watch it. It is definitely not 5 star. There is no bar service on the beach, so you need to walk up from the beach, line up, order your drink, then wait to collect them. The sunbeds on the beach were old and mostly broken. I will not return it is totally renovated. As for the casino, it also needs a full renovation.

The pools and the ocean are the highlight of Club Loutraki Casino Hotel. Sadly, most of the rest leaves a lot to be desired. And it was expensive for the quality. We were at Club Loutraki Hotel for an international Masters Games Basketball tournament, for 10 days. My initial impression at reception, that the hotel was dated, was disappointingly confirmed when we viewed our room., which bore little resemblance to the photos online. The carpets were badly stained, and looked to be original (ie 30 years old). (See photos) Additionally, the bedspread was stained, although clean. We found many of the staff, both in the restaurant and housekeeping, to be sullen. I don’t know if this is the standard way Greek hospitality staff treat their customers, but compared to many international destinations, this was poor. Even a smile in passing, or a hello would have been pleasant. The highlight was our balcony with a view of the ocean, however after a few days, there was a strong sewerage smell which meant that in the afternoons, we could not sit out on the balcony. Even after mentioning this to the staff at reception, there was very little change. I have stayed in much cheaper accommodation in less developed countries, but sadly Club Loutraki Casino Hotel will be remembered, and not I. A good way. I would not stay here again.
