Hotel Galini

We were to spend 3 nights in Naxos, and after doing quite a bit of research to determine where to stay, I picked up this hotel and glad that I did ! There are quite a few things to like about this hotel. One is the close proximity to the centre of Naxos Chora as well as one of the popular beaches. The ferry port is about 15 minutes walk away and the centre is even less. From the room to the staircase – this hotel is very clean and well-kept. The room was nice and appeared to reflect a traditional Greek style. The shower and the toilet bowl were in separate enclosures which was very well thought of. View from the balcony was beautiful (the small white church looked so pretty). Traditional Greek breakfast spread was great and George was proud to declare that he prepared some of them himself and urged us to try. And we found he deserved to be proud ! On the flip side - despite the room being nice, from the bed there is an additional step to access the main floor. While this may follow a traditional design, it may cause an accidental fall as most people are not used to having such an additional step on the bedroom floor. And the wash basin is quite shallow with the faucet installed high up which causes water sprinkling around while in use, which may be a little convenient. At the end, based on the overall nice stay that we experienced at this hotel, my rating would still be 5/5.

A very lovely family-run hotel where you immediately feel comfortable. Everything is close — the beach is just a 3-minute walk, with tavernas and a supermarket nearby, yet the area stays quiet and relaxed. The owners are very kind and truly try to help with anything you need, which makes the stay even more pleasant. Breakfast is simple but very tasty and satisfying. I would happily come back again.

A great hotel, stylishly and beautifully furnished. Perfectly located in Naxos, 5 minutes to the city center and right by the city beach. Great local breakfast buffet. Nice staff and an owner who knows how to make guests happy.
