I always do my due diligence and plenty of homework before choosing where to stay, and I can honestly say we found a true gem in Polikandia Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. Dimitri at the front desk welcomed us with genuine warmth, and Yianni, the wonderful owner, is one of the kindest gentlemen you will ever meet. You can immediately see how much love and care he puts into this hotel — from checking every flower and plant, to making sure the pool is perfect and every guest is comfortable. His attention to detail is truly special. The hotel itself feels like a beautiful Greek village, surrounded by stunning bougainvillea and flowers everywhere you look. The rooms are authentic, spotless, and beautifully maintained — not a speck of dust anywhere. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and although you can request a mattress topper, I didn’t need one and had some of the best sleep I’ve ever had. We absolutely loved sitting on our beautiful veranda with the bougainvillea and gorgeous flowers hanging overhead. The included breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of choices including eggs, cheeses, pastries, coffee, juices, sausages, bacon, and more. It was the perfect start to each day. Stelios was a huge help and made our stay even more special with his kindness and hospitality. The cleaning staff, including Eleni and Pitsa (I hope I have their names correct), were also wonderful and attentive to every need. The location is perfect — within walking distance to Chora, with its charming streets, beautiful restaurants, and incredible views. The rooftop is a lovely place to enjoy a drink while watching the sunset. This was one of those places we truly did not want to leave. Polikandia Hotel made our trip to Folegandros unforgettable, not only because of its authentic Greek beauty but because of the amazing family who runs it. The hospitality, warmth, and genuine care here are something you will remember long after you leave. Thank you, Yianni, Dimitri, Stelios, Eleni, Pitsa, and the entire Polikandia family for making our stay so special. We cannot wait to return.

Very beautiful hotel perfectly located a stone's throw from the Chora of Folegandros. Welcome panel, multi-jet shower, pod coffee maker, kettle, plenty of storage, comfortable bedding, recent and quiet air conditioning, very pleasant pool, lots of flowers, view of the Panagia, attentive staff, good breakfast. Possibility to borrow a beach umbrella, bus station 100 meters away, free shuttle between the port and the hotel...

Lovely family run hotel. The whole family really enjoyed their 6 night stay here. Clean and authentic, staff friendly, helpful. Hotel pool very clean. Close to the Chora and restaurants. Would recommend!
