We are 8 nights into an 11 night stay and loving it.
I have been trying to think of something negative to say about the place to make this a balanced review but I don’t think I can!
Perhaps if you have small children you would want somewhere that does entertainment but for us (2 50-somethings, a 16 year old and a 20 year old) it has been wonderful.
The food and bar are absolutely brilliant and very reasonably priced.
The family who own the place are really lovely and, honestly, if you have a problem with your room (or anything), and tell them, they will sort it quickly for you.
There is an amazing bakery (Sarika’s) a 5 minute walk away as well as bars, restaurants and supermarkets.
I really don’t understand people complaining about being far out - we couldn’t wish for a better location. Just far enough out to be peaceful.
Rooms are like every other Greek hotel we’ve stayed in - and are clean and bug-free!
There are cups, saucers, bowls, cutlery etc - we haven’t cooked (and we wouldnt want to) and maybe if you want to cook meals you might want more than the 2 ring hob?
We found the Alabama Sports bar just down the road do amazing take away food and we have brought that back a few nights (after a cheeky beer or two while we wait, obvs).
Other nights, we have eaten meats, cheeses, bread, olives, tzatziki etc from the supermarket with local beer or wine.
(And fabulous desserts /cakes/gelato) from Sarika’s.)
So, would definitely return - dont be fooled by the lower prices, it really is a little gem 🙂

We stayed at Rodos sun for 1 week. The hotel was very basic but exceptionally clean and the staff and other hotel guests were extremely friendly. The food at the hotel was 10/10 (proper homemade chips and toasties to die for). The BBQ night on the Monday was one of our favourite meals! It was delicious! The hotel staff work so hard and they always go above and beyond for you. We had a late flight back but managed to get late check out until 5pm for €20 which was 100% worth it. The main highlight for me for this hotel was the fact there was no sun bed wars! Some days we wouldn’t go out till 2pm and there were plenty of beds.
The rooms are spacious and very clean, but basic. The ‘self catering’ equipment is limited but a kettle and 2 hobs worked fine. The only complaint about the room we had was the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom got very very wet (wet room style) but dried quickly. Two other minor complaints; the tap in the kitchen area dripped every night so we would tie a bag around it so we could sleep🤣 and the wardrobe areas were unusable because they smelt of damp so badly! It’s like someone put something wet in there and left it, but it was fine there was plenty of room to stack clothes/live out of our cases. We paid for €7 a night for aircon that worked well, there were plenty of plugs (not in the kitchen area though) but I took an extension lead that was handy. The room was cleaned every 2 days by exceptional cleaning staff. The bar was open till 1am, perfect for a late night drink and the kitchen was open till 4pm. We often wished the kitchen was open until later because we would have eaten there more! It was incredible!
The location of this hotel was perfect for us. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the strip and the beach. There are a few supermarkets close however, the Aegean supermarket was very expensive compared to the one on the main road! We were also recommended by the hotel to go to Desert Rose restaurant (make sure you book) and it was absolutely phenomenal!
An amazing hotel that had better cleanliness and atmosphere than most 4&5 star hotels I’ve been to. Thank you so much for the staff for an incredible stay!

My partner and I have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel, and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed.
Most importantly, the rooms were very clean! They of course could do with updating, and the bathrooms could have an upgrade but this didn’t affect our stay.
There was absolutely no difficulty getting sun beds, I was surprised to look out the balcony window gone 9am to see no beds reserved.
The food was great and very reasonably priced, and the two shops just a short walk away were great for picking up other snacks. I would reccomend bringing a pack of toilet roll from home for when you run out if you’ve got room in your case, to save buying it there!
The hotel is a bit far out from the main town and beach though, and if we had children for this reason we wouldn’t select this hotel, but if you’re wanting to stay in and around the pool and not venture out in the heat of the day, it’s perfect.
We got the bus into Rhodes old town, using the bus stop on the main road just a short walk away - this was a great plus to the location.
Overall we had a great stay seeing what Faliraki had to offer and we were very sad to leave.
Thank you Rodos Sun!
