At first it was just a simple step to continue our stay elsewhere on Ios Island but the hotel proved to be a modern establishment, very well equipped and comfortable. The staff is very professional and kind. Its location on the port is a definite advantage, it is a very lively place and the points of restoration are numerous. We were able to enjoy a terrace and start our stopover on the island in the most beautiful way. Would you like to rest? No problem, the Acteon is perfectly soundproofed despite the joyful outside agitation. The only less practical point: the lack of elevator, which makes climbs with a heavy suitcase a bit sporty.

Very close to the port which made it easy getting on and off the ferry. Jessica in reception was very friendly and helpful. It was a decent up hill walk to the centre but the bus was €2 and runs every 15 minutes to both Chora and Mylopotas. The hotel rooms were basic but very clean and the rooms have everything you could want.

The hotel is very close to the arrival of the ferries, and this was positively rated by me to avoid the confusion of the Chora. In fact, the choice turned out to be wrong: in fact, in the port remains moored from afternoon until morning at 8 a Seajets that keeps the engines running perpetually. The noise is therefore constant and annoying, especially for night rest, unless you plug in the room with the air conditioning on! The double room is quite small, but modern and clean. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom has a shower with cleaning products, the change of towels is done every other day, with excellent quality sponges. There is no breakfast, but the many bars and bakeries satisfy every need. I chose the room with a balcony overlooking the sea, very good in the morning because in the shade, but in the afternoon it is ‘exposed totally to the west and therefore full of sun (and heat). There is a kettle and a TV that also takes some Italian channels. The wife works discreetly.
