The facility is a dream! The staff and the management are super hospitable and nice. Amazing breakfast, stunning facility, grand view of the sea, rooms are very well-kept and above all, very clean. An absolute gem of a hotel, on a gem of a beach on a gem of a Greek Island run by a diamond family, Marcos, Jacky and Harry. The location is a 5 minute stroll from probably the best beach on the Island, Mylopotas. Very peaceful with great views. The rooms and bed are comfortable, typically Greek with all you need without the razzmatazz! Great pool with an abundance of comfortable sun beds and a bar open 1100-2300. Breakfast is continental help yourself, typically of Greek breakfasts. The rooms and hotel are very clean and peacefully quiet. Ios doesn’t have an airport so we flew in to Santorini and caught the ferry which took just over an hour. All transfers etc were superbly organised by Olympic holidays who were superb from start to finish. It should be noted that from the beginning of July to the end of August this is a party Island that makes Ibiza look like a sleepy backwater! However normal peaceful order resumes in September! There is an abundance of great restaurants from family run Greek Taverners, beach front trendy restaurants to high end dining establishments, all great value for money. We received great tips and local knowledge from Marcos, Jacky and Harry who couldn’t do enough for us. We will return!

Marcos Hotel beach is a family hotel and this “familiarity” is breathed thanks to the son of the owner an exquisite person kind and always ready to help.We traveled as a couple staying in a room with a beautiful view of the sea.We had no problem of cleanliness, clean sheets, clean bathroom, no problem of mosquitoes or other.The bathroom could be small and uncomfortable for the lack of the bidet but it is in line with the bathrooms seen so far in Greece on the other hand, although for us it is a “primary” good as Italians we must recognize that not in all countries there is this need and adapt.Surely for us the room was functional to rest we did not live it “daily” but it was still comfortable and clean.The optimal location, out of the chaos but still close to all services and the sea.We asked if there was a possibility of picking us up at the port and free and kindly we were provided with this Service which many other hotels do not do.Comfortable pool but that we personally used very little (enjoy the sea)possibility of having breakfast with a crazy view (is priceless)About breakfast maybe this is the only small flaw to improve, I would add more sweet items (cakes, pancakes, croiss) and I would try to vary a little something daily, I would also ask the staff at this time to be a little more “cozy”, even here the son of the owners has always come to meet me by providing me with vegetable milk and gluten-free bread (for my intolerances).At the conclusion of all this I would recommend the Marcos Hotel to anyone who wants to spend a beautiful holiday at IOS between sea views and the kindness of the owners.
