Cleopatra Classic Hotel

Basic and clean. Great location. Shower needs attention to. Toilet wouldn’t flush so my husband was doing it manually. Finally someone came to fix it.

Just stayed at the classic for 11 days and it was great. Nice basic room. Breakfast was basic but nice (especially when temperature is hitting 30 degrees). Pool very clean, great staff, hotel spotless. Pool bar good value for both food and drink. I do think that people should really read the details of their booking as some of the negative comments are unjust. Kardamena is a beautiful village and the location of the classic is ideal. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay a relaxing and very enjoyable one.

I have mixed feelings. The room was comfortable but had nothing in it, not a cup or glass or anything else. I was frustrated at the bar. Whilst the young man in charge is a lovely person he was far too young for the job having only just left school, and he had a lot to learn. He had been taught, so he told me, not to give guests their drinks until they had paid, something I have never experienced in my life before. There was also a rigmarole over whether payment was to be by cash or card, which also caused some frustration. The breakfasts were the same every day without exception and there was never any hot food, apparently because there was no facility there to prepare hot food. Others on half board told us that there was little or no variation to the evening menu and no atmosphere in the restaurant where they ate as there were no other guests there. I was there when a previous reviewer wrote about reception staff demanding cash for the tourist tax at about 1.30 in the morning from a lady with a one year old child who had to go to find somewhere to draw cash. Heartless and inconsiderate! Having said all that the cleaning staff were brilliant and overall the reception ladies very helpful and pleasant. This hotel attracts returning guests who have been coming for years so the management are doing something right.
