Alexandra Hotel

Firstly great location close to everything. Bedroom was nice and clean, one small bottle of water left for arrival, very small kettle and no complimentary tea, coffee, sugar or milk which for a “4 star”, i found odd. Bathroom dated bath was discoloured where the enamel had worn away…. shower had no fitting on rail for it to be on the wall complained to reception twice but was told there was no possible fitment in the whole of kos to fix it, so i had to hold the shower with one hand whilst trying to put shampoo on putting shower head down whilst i put conditioner…. It was like going back in time, they did have shampoo and hand wash in the bathroom and fresh towels daily Cleaning staff were friendly but left my patio door unlocked and open everyday( even tho i locked them when i left). Reception staff didn’t seem too friendly whenever i went by. I did not have breakfast so i cannot comment on that as i went out daily for a cooked breakfast. £10 per night tourist tax during my stay. I would say i probably wouldn’t stay here again but the location was great.

Clean, centrally located. The reception was polite. Tax of 5 Euros per person per night.

Spent the night at this hotel on an overnight stop. Firstly the location was excellent.10 minutes walk from both the port and the old town. The first room we were given was right beside the lift and as the lift outer door was of the swing open type I asked if we could be moved as the door clattered every time someone entered/exited the lift. At first the girl on reception said no as the hotel was full. I found this strange as it's the end of the season and it seemed pretty quiet. After I asked why there was still plenty of vacancies for the night on various booking sites she miraculously found us another room straight away. The room was adequate with a kettle,bottle of water and biscuits but no tea/coffee which I found strange. There was a dirty dress/top off a previous guest scrunched up in the wardrobe but the overall cleanliness of the room/hotel wasn't to bad. All in all fine for a one nights stay but lost a couple of marks for being lied to about the room and the dirty clothing in the wardrobe. Go thinking three star hotel ,not four and you'll probably not be disappointed.
