HOTEL: Rooms - dated but quite adequate, beds hard but were made everyday. Bathroom functional but could improve with better attention to detail with towels being refreshed and I found it easier to sneak a towel off housekeeping cart than complain to reception. Food - plenty of tables, limited option to sit outside, several different themed food evenings. Fab deserts. Didn't book up meal (Greek theme) in separate restaurant in sister hotel as this was not straight forward to do and could only booked between 7 - 8 with Restaurant Maitre De of this hotel despite being told differently by reception, and before I tried for a third time had feed back from other guests that food was same as main meal offer so didn't bother. Food in places was repetitive but totally acceptable. Missed evening meal with late arrival and disappointed there was limited offer of food which we had to wait till 11 for, and snacks between meal times were limited although got a lovely filled roll on last day which helped onward travel home. Stars - Treat this as a greek 4 star which will be different to a UK 4 star! Pools - unfortunately it took me three days to find the one pool ladder which extended beyond 3 steps which was a game changer for comfortably getting out of pool, pool would benefit from a weekly tile clean. Sun beds - there were sufficient if you got to pool by mid morning - was early towel reserving to front row pool side but other good location options available. Beds had benefit of fixed umbrellas and there was plenty of them, perhaps a few more pool side wooden tables as these were in short demand and pounced on when early towel reservers got there. Location - a 10 euro taxi into crazy busy Kos Town, we did walk back to hotel along a good level dedicated walk/cycle/scooter path - there appeared to be plenty of scooters/bike to use. Beach - a short walk across road to pebbly beach - lovely clear water but needed beach shoes to negotiate across large pebbles. Overall hotel delivered a good week break and through securing a good deal on price (£650 each) I have no complaints as compared to say a Travel lodge/Premier inn it was fine with added food, drink, sun and swimming pool

Took my son away for a few days after his exams. Initially I thought I had been taken to the wrong hotel. The photos do not represent the reality. There are no brightly coloured cushions, no club, no gym on site (might be in a different hotel). We arrived 10 minutes after the end of the last meal service. I had emailed ahead to say my son is coeliac. The kitchen were unable to provide even a salad initially and only after I complained was a sandwich provided that fell apart and had to be binned. The food was not of the standard I expected the breakfast was the worse, the bacon like leather, the baked beans were grey. Nothing cooked to order. Lunch and dinner were better - some fruit but mostly tinned. Food containing wheat were labelled but not always correctly I felt. No staff around to help. I did not see any snacks in between meals at all except ice cream- tea and coffee was only on offer at breakfast-fruit juice was watered down squash . I did hear there was there was some cake in a cabinet by the bar but did not see this. The pool was great, warm and well maintained except the umbrellas that were all broken and stayed up only if you wrapped the cord around the base. They were dirty. The entertainment was great but on a budget. There were singers one night but the other nights were quiz nights or there was bingo that you had to pay for. The room was ok but basic the shower was fitted to the taps and on the wrong side of the bath tub which must be difficult if you are tall. The tiles in the bathroom fell on my head, even when replaced they were open into the attic area. Some friends had a mouse in their room during their stay. Cleaning was daily but basic. We went into Kos, the shuttle was great when the local bus did not arrive but was an extra cost. The beach was stunning especially at sunset. The bar man at the beach was wonderful serving free cocktails and beer. I did not see any soft drinks. There was a cost for sun beds. My son swam in the sea but I found it hard to get in and out so just paddled. We went parasailing at the local water sports centre and got some great pics and video footage including a video of me accidentally opening the clip attaching me to the sail so be careful if you do that activity while visiting. While there were things I was not happy about - the hotel not looking as advertised, the lack of snacks and warm drinks available, which everyone was moaning about, overall we had a lovely holiday - mainly thanks to the entertainment staff who made fun out of nothing and the bar staff who worked tirelessly with a smile on their face. Would I return- No. Did I have a good time - Yes

Dankzij haar voelden we ons echt welkom. Een welgemeende dankjewel aan Stergiana. Zij is zonder twijfel een grote meerwaarde voor dit hotel! Our stay at Kipriotis Hippocrates Hotel was enjoyable, although the hotel has some areas that could be improved. What truly made the difference for us was *Stergiana* at the reception. She was always kind, professional, and incredibly helpful. Nothing was ever too much to ask, and she went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Thanks to her, we felt genuinely welcome. A big thank you to Stergiana—she is a true asset to this hotel!
