We visited as a family of 5, including my 22 year old son who is a wheelchair user. We arrived at 11.30 at night and was greeted outside of the hotel by a member of reception team who was very welcoming and showed us to our room. We were given a free drinks voucher, so dropped our bags in the room and went down to the bar where we were made to feel welcome straight away. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment in the block with the swimming pool and had a balcony out on the road. The doors blocked all of the noise out. The apartment consisted of 2 bedrooms, a lounge/kitchen area and one bathroom. The air conditioning worked well. There was enough room for our son to move his chair around the apartment. I had read that not all rooms are accessible by lift and that some blocks didn't have lifts so I had contacted the hotel beforehand to let them know that we would need step free access. ACCESS There are ramps everywhere, but they are VERY steep and my son could not maneuver on these alone. My husband and strong teen were often the only ones able to push him up some of them. Good brake control is required coming down them. We accessed two lifts. One in the block attached to the swimming pool, which gave is access to our room. This lift was very narrow and my sons chair only just fit width ways. There was not enough room for him to put his hands on the wheels and get himself in the lift - he had to be helped in and out. We also once used the lift in the block with reception in. This lift was a lot wider, but not very deep. To access this lift my son had to remove his footplates, enter backwards and tuck his feet in under his chair or the sensors would not allow the door to shut. The swimming pool is lovely. The larger side is very deep at 1.5m at the shallowest, but the smaller family area is more shallow and has a slide. The sunbeds are reserved very early and this is allowed, even though there is a sign asking people not to. We did always manage to get sunbeds though. There are 4 sunbeds reserved for disabled access, and these are very accessible. Im not sure that the use of these sunbeds is monitored though. The restaurant and bar is table service and the staff are fantastic. The food is nice and a good selection on the menu. There are even QR codes on the sunbeds to order food and drink. The whole hotel is so clean and the rooms are cleaned daily. It is a good 15 minute walk to the harbour. The paths are not accessible for wheelchair or prams and we spent a majority of our journeys on the road dodging cars. We hired a car, which made getting around easier. There is a supermarket behind the hotel which sells everything. We really enjoyed our stay and despite the lift inconvenience, we would stay again. The staff are so friendly. They take time to get to know you and really do make you feel welcome.

Arrived very late after being delayed was told on check in our room was across the road - we wandered with heavy suitcases and couldn’t find the building after a few mins the reception staff came and showed us the building - you would not know that the apartments belonged to Peridis it was just behind 2 metal gates! Then we find out there’s no lift in this building so had to carry 2 x 20kg cases up 2 flights of stairs! It doesn’t say that there is no lift access when you book. Apartment - we overlooked the main road so it was noisy there are shutters and glazing which help and they do leave earplugs and eyemasks - it was clean and bathroom looked new fantastic shower! The bedroom was small and access to the wardrobe was tight - only one drawer in the room to put clothes. The aircon worked but only one remote control worked both units and cannot go below 22 degrees. All the Staff are so friendly special mention to Christina and Peter in the restaurant always made sure you were looked after. Food - breakfast was a good selection the coffee wasn’t great - but if you pay for a coffee at the bar you get fresh! The food at lunchtimes was nice and good prices for a hotel - the cocktails were great depending on who made them, happy hour was good at €6 for any cocktail between 3-5pm by the pool. The food at the Greek night was amazing! Pool - lovely main pool but quite deep I could only stand up in a small area - kids pool was shallower but was busy, the amount of people reserving sunbeds with their towels by the main pool was ridiculous we only managed to get beds there on one day of our break at 8:30am the beds had seen better days some were broken - there just isn’t enough beds for the amount of guests I’d hate to think what high season Jul/Aug would be like. In summary Peridis is a nice hotel with lovely staff but we wouldn’t return - it isn’t a 5star hotel there was no working air conditioning in any of the public areas in the evening the bar area was sooooo hot people were leaving and it was empty - I didn’t enjoy staying in a separate building from the hotel and having to cross one of the busiest main roads to go to the pool and bar areas - it’s not in the nicest part of Kos either but we did feel safe walking at night it’s only a 15 minute walk into Kos Town.

Sat waiting to go home and reflecting on our 10 days Booked executive room with our own pool shared with 2 other apartments which was great because main pool area was very small for the amount of people plus towels put on beds every morning which apparently against the rules Staff all very polite and accommodating Only downside was we had a late flight and we was being picked up at 4pm so we asked could we keep room on till 4pm and they wanted to charge us 300 euros needless to say we refused All in all good stay food ok and definitely not 5 star i would say 3 star at best Wouldn't stay again but defo come back to Kos
