Thalassa Hotel

Such a lovely hotel! Quiet and relaxing but activities going on throughout the day if that’s what you’re looking for. The entertainment staff were so friendly but not pushy either. The food was good for an all inclusive, could do with maybe a wider selection but overall was tasty and hot, we ate in the snack bar most days for lunch, the gyros were good. Good selection of drinks and waiter service in the evening. The beach is an extra charge but we used this a couple of times and found that we had the beach to ourselves, it is very pebbly though so I would recommend taking swim shoes to protect your feet. The room was lovely and clean but did lack storage space especially in the bathroom. The only thing I would say is the sunbed situation is a bit of a pain but I understand why they do it. You have to get up early and cannot leave them unattended meaning me and my partner ate breakfast separately most days. If you fancy a lie in then expect to be on the grassy area (I found the bugs/flies/mosquitos more prominent here). Short taxi trip to Kos town which was beautiful, great bars and restaurants along with lots of little shops. We booked a trip through Tui to explore the islands. Kalymnos was absolutely beautiful, highly recommend going here!

We just got back from a week in Kos and throughly enjoyed it. Hotel was nice, staff really attentive and friendly. The entertainment worker Kat was amazing! So friendly, takes time to speak to everyone and really made us feel welcome. Reception is able to book taxis to and from Kos town, 10 euro each way or a private transfer for 15 euro. Rooms were cleaned everyday and done throughly, would’ve liked towels to be changed more regularly though. Pool area is clean and a kids pool too. The sunbed arrangements are not organised, manager comes around 8ish and takes towels of loungers which are not occupied which is understandable but resulted in a lot unhappy guests. Food was absolutely rubbish! Absolutely no variety at all. If you are a fan of good food avoid! Even spoke to other guests who said the food has gone down hill majorly from last year. We ended up eating out most nights. Breakfast was ok. We got provided a snack bag when we arrived at hotel since we arrived early hours in the morning. Which included a stale sandwich with some tomato and a smoothie so had to wait until breakfast to eat. So if you have a late flight bring some sort of snack! There’s a small shop inside the hotel, it is expensive but good for crisps, drinks etc. Overall other than the food we definitely enjoyed our stay!
