Astir Of Naxos

Charming family hotel, with a beautiful pool (too bad it is not heated). We had booked a family room and were upgraded at the initiative of the hotel. The top room, homemade breakfast very well, with local specialties. The staff very kind, warm and kind. The hotel is close to the port by car, overlooks a beach and is only a 10-minute walk from the first shops. To be done again with pleasure 🤗

The hotel is in a fantastic position, just a 5 minute stroll to the beach, and from there a further 10 minutes along a charming boardwalk to the main town and Marina. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was great. Evagelia and her lovely family were very welcoming and friendly and Eva even offered to give us a lift to the Port when our transfer didn't turn up! Absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend.

This is not a 4-star hotel and the photos on the site are misleading. The room "honeymoon", offers a cup of rotten fruit and bathrobes are reserved for the photo! The bathroom was dubious cleanliness and the defective shower hose , when we arrived, had to be changed. The worker took care of it in our presence with his shoes in the shower.... A very small room and no armchair (as pictured) or chair. In the end, a poorly maintained hotel but with a tourist tax of 10€ per day! The pool and proximity to the beach don't do everything! The charming island of Naxos must offer more welcoming and maintained accommodation.
