Daktilidis Village

The place is beautiful, family owned with a secluded beach of it's own. Its a good place for people who seek to be alone, but its a far place from almost everything, we wasted half of our time searching for transport rentals and going back and forth to the place took about 20 mins or more. The rooms weren't very clean and the service wasn't very great either, the phone reception was bad and the supposedly provided internet wifi service was not accessible, the breakfast was honestly horrible and had their been a decent restaurant near by we wouldn't have had our breakfast in the village.

good points free wifi free safe fridge in room free aircon basic breakfast included peaceful tv with greek channels (good music channel) wonderful scenery not so good up a steep hill (very steep) one tiny supermarket in whole of kalafatis one car hire no gift shops 6 tavernas in whole of kalafatis (very expensive) you need a car family are nice but not over friendly think its that they dont speak much english except the daughter mykonos is lovely not a great deal to do except mykonos town where we went on 3 occasions the beaches looked stunning online but werent that nice in real life we were lucky and saw pedros the pelican all in all a great holiday for the price we paid but seen it all and wont go back

the hotel is modest but the location is amazing. On arriving, and after waiting for aprox. 2 hours for the receptionist, a man came and told us that we had to go to another place because the hotel was full. We were taken to a 4 star hotel, but away from the beach. After complaining with several people (nobody seemed to know who was responsible for that) I was told that the next day we were taken to Daktilidis again. The thing is, we lost a lot of time and efforts trying to contact the receponist and the woman in charge, and nobody compensate this. Breakfast is simple but ok, the private beach is beautiful and it´s next to Agia Anna beach. Spending the night on the terrace, enjoing the quiet atmosphere and the beauty of the place, is simply invaluable.
