Check-in with assignment of a lower category room than the one paid for: after pointing it out, the clerk tried to say that we had paid for that category and that the hotel was fully booked. Within 5 minutes, he acknowledged the error and assigned us the room category we had booked! Not a good start at all; I trust it was an unintentional mistake! Hotel far below expectations, not 5-star quality: starting with the "automatic" sink faucet with non-adjustable temperature, room cleaning that barely showed any sign of staff having passed through, room furnishings with an open/exposed closet and a small armchair much less attractive than those from the common Swedish brand—which I personally appreciate, but have never seen in a luxury hotel—and a room key that most of the time did not work and required a couple of interventions, the last of which, on the evening before departure, lasted 20 minutes by the reception staff who struggled to open it. On the morning of check-out, we preferred to leave the room door ajar while we went to have breakfast for fear of not being able to retrieve our suitcases and missing our flight. The only positive note was the variety of the breakfast; otherwise, too many stars, needs to be reviewed!

We had a wonderful stay at Tharroe, a charming family-owned and operated hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like part of their family. Yannis, Constantinos, Ynes, Flavia, Olga, and AP were all exceptional—professional, warm, and attentive, delivering truly impeccable service throughout our visit. The pool deck offers stunning views, and the breakfast was outstanding. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, making it clear this is not a party hotel—guests are respectful, and the overall vibe is calm and refined. Just 15 minutes away from town on a secluded quiet private gated hill. The hotel’s décor leans more traditional than contemporary, which adds to its character. As a small suggestion for Olga, the owner: removing the boat and statue on the pool deck - which obstruct the view - would further enhance the already breathtaking sea and island views. Additionally, updating the chandeliers in the rooms with more modern lighting and shifting the music on the deck and restaurant to a more lounge-style selection would elevate the ambiance even more. Overall, the truly exceptional staff made our experience unforgettable. We would absolutely return.

Elevated hotel with a magnificent panoramic view of the sea, hilly landscape, and the center of Mykonos. Relaxed, peaceful atmosphere in the hotel, totally comfortable double beds around the pool, no reservation stress whatsoever, gentle music in the background, not intrusive, exactly the kind of smaller stylish hotel we were looking for, where you can chill in peace while enjoying the sunset. Always windy due to the exposed location, therefore not too hot. Highly recommended for anyone who likes it quieter, away from the hustle and bustle. (15 minutes on foot to the center, and not too far to the beautiful, quieter Elias Beach, by taxi). Lunch/dinner at the hotel was delicious, lovingly prepared. Hotel staff all super friendly and accommodating - Yanis gave valuable excursion tips, we felt very comfortable and well advised. The hotel is very bright and tastefully furnished, the panorama suite is spacious, very clean, and the view is hard to beat. Dreamy! The spa is a little dated, but that didn't bother us at all, because Katharina was an extremely competent massage therapist/physiotherapist, whom I even booked twice in a row because she was able to alleviate my persistent lower back pain. (Fascia massage, trigger points released, highly recommended!) She saved my vacation, so to speak. Many thanks! We will be back!
