Manos

I had a lovely stay at Hotel Manos, the hotel staff were very friendly and the rooms were cleaned daily. The breakfast was simple but for 6 euros was very good value for money. The location was also very good it’s about a 10 minute walk to the town centre and 5 minutes to the beach. There is also a little cafe near by to buy water and food which was very convenient. Overall we had a nice stay.

If the setting is on point, the human and commercial management frankly leaves much to be desired. A deplorable and unempathetic customer service: Three weeks before our arrival, there was a risk of flight cancellation (fuel price surge), I contacted the manager to know our options. The response was cold: no refund, no possible rescheduling, "everything will be lost." A real cold shower, especially when compared to our second hotel, which showed reassuring flexibility. In case of a problem, know that this manager will make no effort to help you: he just collects, period. The downsides: Poorly soundproofed room, we heard far too much noise from other vacationers. For a 4-night stay, we would have appreciated the replenishment of two small bottles of water each day. It's a detail that costs the hotel nothing but changes the customer experience (especially since the tap water is not very good). The drink menu is overpriced, reflecting the port's rates (a Spritz is even more expensive than during Happy Hours at the port). What a shame! We would have loved to have drinks on the beautiful hotel terrace every evening, but at that price, we might as well go have a drink facing the sea. Pros: Ideally located, quiet and away from the noise of the center, but easily accessible on foot (however, be aware that it is a bit of a climb on the way back). The outdoor areas and common spaces are very pretty, well-maintained, and carefully decorated. It is typical and truly charming. The breakfast buffet is good without being extraordinary, but we especially remember the big smile and kindness of the lady who welcomed us every morning. The place is very cute and well-located, but the purely financial mindset of the owner spoils the experience.

For two young women travelling by themselves the location was super safe and very conviniently located. Really friendly breakfast staff and a very clean room and terrace, with a nice pool. Staff was very helpful with instructions to Antiparos and on how to get around using the bus. Kind nightstaff who were always helpful and ready to give us nightlife recommendations. (shoutout Γιώργος) Totally recommend!
