Blue Horizon Hotel

Probably the best holiday experience we’ve ever had. Stayed for 7 nights at Blue Horizon and from the very start all staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We had a bungalow with garden view which was spacious and modern and very clean. Food was amazing particularly as I’m a picky eater but I couldn’t fault it, the Mexican theme was my favourite and I ate far too much it was so nice. Pool is clean, quiet in the afternoon and more upbeat in the late morning. Weather was amazing, just can’t fault it and would go again without hesitation.

We went here on the 10th June 2026 for our honeymoon for 10 days. Overall it was a good experience but there were a few details that could have made it better. The staff and the cleanliness were top notch. A few miserable restaurant staff but all other staff were excellent, especially Peter and Kevin in the bars. There wasn't much choice of drinks in the main bar and the cocktails were ready made and not very nice. Food wise, we stayed half board so had breakfast and evening meal. Breakfasts were very much geared towards the German guests, of which there were lots and we didn't like it the food very much. We had breakfast out a few times because of this. Evening meals were hit and miss. Lots of the dishes were very salty and there was no options for children at all. If we had taken the kids with us we would have struggled to get them to eat most of the international dishes. Also drinks for the All Inclusive guests were not included at meal times and they were charged extra which I wouldn't have been happy about. We also had to pay €8 per day for 2 sunbeds on the grass or the beach area, which isn't much, but when you pay over £2000 for a holiday you'd expect this to be included for guests, seeing as it'sa 4* hotel. Sunbeds were only free around the pool but the Germans got there first! Also, the rooms were lovely, and the view was amazing, bathroom was nice but the room was let down by the bed which was very hard and very dated with lumpy pillows. Other guests we spoke to thought the same.

On arrival there was no food , we had all incl , but what was that food bad , the food was cold , the fish was raw , and the service was very poor , unfriendly staff , they only had eyes for the half board paid guests . They got beautiful dishes , and were pampered , we who had all in could eat the same thing every day , it was so bad that the food from the previous day , the next day was put back down but then processed into other dishes! This was not worthy of 4 stars, being looked away in the breakfast room because she wanted to cover for lunch at 9.30 and breakfast must be there before 10.00. No service , the many dishes that had to be for the all incl , were no longer all incl , you could pay to get a decent dish . The breakfast room was also divided into 3 parts, so you had to sit in a square because the rest had to stay clean!! At 36 degrees , At snack time it was a complete disaster , the reheated dishes , were nicely put there , dried out kebabs , black burnt meatballs , and over-fried fries , that was the choice every day , the desserts were from the previous day and the drink came from the vending machine !! The coffee got you bare without a cookie and the hospitality was far from there.
