Irene Palace

Had a super holiday with husband, daughter son-in-law and 2 grandsons 1.5+3yrs. Good hotel with good service, extensive breakfast and evening food, in the afternoon we did not eat. Plenty of animation for young and old (German language though) Staff very friendly and helpful. In building a mini market where Zoé also works a Dutch-Greek saleswoman who has also given us various advice. In building is also hairdresser and car rental available which ensured that everything was in order if you went away for a day by car. The pools was something for everyone, baby bath, hot tub and at the slides separately a special lifeguard. A walking pool to the beach with sunbathing area. There were plenty of cots. Next to the swimming area was a bar with super sweet staff who made you mix drinks, you could grab coffee, water and soda as much as you wanted. At 2.30 pm food was put at the bar for a nice snack. All around everything was kept neatly clean including the toilets. In garden also a playground and mini golf. The rooms were cleaned 6dgn in the week. A big kudos to everyone

The hotel is located on the beach. You can walk down the beach and there are a few restaurants and bars. The center is cozy, not very big. Beautiful beaches can be found slightly away from the hotel (without stones). Tip: do not book a standard room, these are very outdated. We have rebooked the room on arrival. This cost a little extra but was definitely worth it. Friendly staff, nice places around the bar, pool and beach to chill and have drinks.

We spent our holiday with our 4 year old daughter at Irene Palace Beach Resort last June, and this year we decided to return because of what we appreciated most — the family atmosphere and warm welcome. Throughout our stay we felt that the staff really loves children, so we felt safe, relaxed and comfortable. The stuff talked with the kids, smiled, remembered their names, and did their best to make us feel at home. We developed close relationships with some members of the staff, whose affection and friendly communication we especially appreciated — particularly the wonderful cleaning lady Teresa, very warm-hearted person, who gave us a comforting hug after the earthquake and always greeted us with a smile; the professional and friendly reception staff member Nina; Vasilia, who warmly welcomed our child every evening at the restaurant and spent some time talking with her even on a busy night (our daughter loved such moments with her); and the lovely restaurant team — Anthoula, Irena, Marina, Anastasios, and Panagiotis — to whom we are very grateful for their daily attention. This hotel is especially worth visiting because of the people who work there, but also for the delicious food, great location with beautiful garden and pleasant beach, and excellent facilities for children. Bus stop is near hotel, which is very convenient. However, cleanliness should be improved — in a four star hotel there should not be yellow stains in the basin, and rooms should be cleaned under the beds. A dead fly that remained on the stairs for the whole week showed that the stairs had not been cleaned for some time. Nevertheless, we are sure these flaws can be easily corrected.
