Lindos Imperial

I previously reviewed this hotel extremely positively following our stay there in June 2024. We returned this year, but our experience was much less positive, which made me very sad. We specifically booked a suite with private pool, so we could stay in the same block as we did previously. (Adjacent to the Relax pool area). On arrival we were allocated a room, not a suite as we had booked, with a (not very) private pool, which was way up in the highest part of the hotel. I have a disability and found the walk to and from the room challenging during the holiday. As we were not given the suite we had booked, we did not have the double aspect outside areas or the larger bathroom that we should have had. We don’t realise all of the negatives when we got there, due to our late arrival, and by that time, I was too exhausted to make a scene about it. However, had I realised at the time what a difference the lesser room would make to our holiday experience, I would have complained at the time. The room was in effect, a family room. And it certainly was. We visited as a couple this time, hoping for the same romantic, relaxing break as previously, but in our block, we were surrounded by families with young children, who often strayed into our pool area and ran screaming up and down the corridors at nights. There were far more families there this year than when we previously visited and the buffet restaurant was much busier. This unfortunately impacted on the service, as staff appeared rushed off their feet and we often didn’t have cutlery or water on our table. Additionally, the cleaner in the upstairs floor would daily sweep the rubbish from the upstairs balcony onto our patio area. It eventually happened when we were actually sitting there and we were covered in cigarette ash and detritus from upstairs. The pool areas were much busier too, and there was an absence of life guards at the lower part of the main pool area. This meant anyone sitting by the pool had to put up with numerous groups of kids climbing up the bridge railings and jumping off at height, splashing everyone. In summary, I feel we were fobbed off with a lesser room by the hotel because there were only 2 of us, which really impacted on our enjoyment of the holiday. Lindos Imperial is no longer the place to go if you are a couple looking for a relaxing holiday.

This was our second stay at the hotel, and once again it exceeded our expectations. We came back because of our wonderful first experience, and we were not disappointed. The staff were warm, friendly, and always happy to help. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the area, and the facilities were perfect for our family. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and the high level of service throughout our stay. We had another fantastic vacation and will definitely be happy to return again. Highly recommended!

We have just returned from a fantastic week at the Lindos imperial hotel and spa. Our room was lovely, well equipped with a few added extras which was nice. There is so much to do that every day was fun filled. We ate at the buffet which was nice, but also booked some à la carte restaurants, one of which was the steak which was our favourite. The staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming all week. We wanted to mention the bar tender in the main bar, we didn’t actually catch her name, she had dark hair in a bun and was there every day other than Wednesday. Such a lovely lady. All in all an amazing holiday and we would recommend it to anyone.
