Memphis Hotel

I am at the Memphis Beach right now, with my daughter. After booking, the reviews had intimidated me, so I will try to be objective. The property is very beautiful, very clean, and tidy. Recently renovated rooms, very clean with a small balcony and brand-new furnishings. 2 pools + 1 for children, small but nice and perfectly maintained. Picture-perfect green areas. Sea at 150 meters, not managed by the hotel (umbrella and 2 sun loungers €12) or the option of a free beach. The negative points were the organization of Alpitour: there was no meeting to explain the stay, propose excursions, or inform about the return transfer. And the catering, which, although buffet-style, is limited in choices and does not reach a passing grade in terms of quality. The air conditioning is for a fee (€8 per day) and the mosquitoes.... in swarms... We will return tanned, relaxed, but thinner and full of insect bites.

We just finished our stay at this hotel, located in a great central position in Kolimbia and halfway between all the main attractions of the island. This is a hotel that offers an all-inclusive service with decent breakfast, where everything is available (I do not recommend the desserts in general, but I do not eat them), lunch, and dinner with a different theme every evening. The food is not exceptional, often the products are packaged, but there are also fresh salads and the meat is decent. I greatly appreciated the American coffee available throughout the day by the pool, and the breakfast location was also wonderful. The staff works very hard to keep everything clean and they are very good. Unfortunately, my vacation was ruined by the surprise I had upon arrival, namely the assignment of a room that was not the one I booked. To get my room, I had to add a rather significant amount due to their mistake, but they did not even listen to my reasons or look at the reservation I had on my phone. The manager did not come to resolve the issue; I asked to at least have the air conditioning for free, but there was no way. The reception staff was really rude and not at all helpful. For this reason, my stay cannot be considered satisfactory.

We stayed at Memphis Hotel in Kolymbia for one week, and honestly, we had a very good experience. Before booking we noticed a few negative reviews on Tripadvisor, so we weren’t sure what to expect — but in the end, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very nice, welcoming, and always willing to help, which really added to the stay. The food was also good, with enough choice each day to find something we liked. It may not be gourmet, but it was tasty and satisfying. Our room was comfortable and clean, with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The hotel itself has a laid-back atmosphere and a convenient location, making it easy to enjoy both the pool and the surrounding area. It’s not the most luxurious place you’ll find, but that’s also part of the charm — it delivers what it promises without overcomplicating things. In our opinion, if you’re not the kind of person who is extremely picky, you can have a really nice holiday here. For us, it was exactly what we were looking for: simple, relaxing, and enjoyable. We would happily recommend Memphis Hotel to anyone considering a stay in Kolymbia.
