A great getaway for solo travellers. Very friendly. A fantastic pool. The hotel is out on its own so you can’t walk to the shops, beach or town, but I got the bus to Rhodes old town and the bus stop is a 5 min walk from the hotel. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus to the airport. Sabz and Amelia on the bar were fantastic at cocktail making and super friendly.

We stayed at Rhodian Sun for a week at the end of July. Right from the get-go their hospitality was incredible: Niko picked us up from the airport and there was dinner waiting for us at the hotel even though dinner service was finished, which was really kind of them. The room is basic but cleaned to a high standard and has everything you’d need - air con was free and worked well, and I was a bit worried about insects especially with us being on the ground floor but we didn’t have any problems with this :) We stayed at the pool most days - the hotel wasn’t crowded so there was always at least a couple of free sunbeds, the pool was always clean as well as being nice and refreshing when I’d been sunbathing. I enjoyed plane-spotting from my sunbed. We went into the Old Town one day and staff were helpful when we had questions about the buses. One of the highlights of this holiday was definitely the food. We booked full board to save money and I’m so glad we did because the value is amazing! We normally don’t like all-inclusive food but it’s not like that at all at Rhodian Sun, it’s a buffet breakfast then there is a menu board for lunch/dinner and an optional 3-course daily menu for dinner which we had every day. I’m a vegetarian and Niko and the staff were really attentive regarding this, all the meals I was served were really yummy and varied and I especially liked the moussaka, the stuffed tomatoes/peppers and the orzo. They do a Greek night once a week where the food is buffet-style and they get in Greek musicians and dancers which was a fun experience. Even when we had checked out, we were allowed to stay at the hotel and have lunch and dinner before Stavros took us to the airport which again was super kind. On full board you’re entitled to house drinks including a cocktail of the day which were fun to try and some include local spirits; the Sunday cocktail is especially tasty. When we fancied a snack we got crisps from the hotel shop which has a good variety of items and cigs that are much cheaper than they are in the UK lol! The hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere - all of the family are really friendly, and the hotel dogs are all very sweet and clearly treated well by the staff. We had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone considering. Thank you so much to Niko and the rest of the team for making us feel so welcome!

I'll try and share things i like to know about. This is a family run hotel, very Greek. It's very clean. Fresh towels every day. Air con 5 euro per day, totally worth it. The breakfast is a mix of yoghurt, fruit, bread/ toast, eggs, tomatoes, cheese and ham. Also pastries. The evening meal is a 3 course Greek choice which changes each evening. Always delicious. You can choose from the main menu if you prefer. Tuesday is Greek night and a massive bbq and dancing. We had a garden view room with a nice shower. The pool has steps for easy access or a ladder if preferred. It was a bit cloudy when we first arrived but the owner managed to sort it out and it was a lovely blue to swim in. Never a problem getting a sun lounger. Free shuttle to the nearby beach village but the walk to the seafront still quiet a walk. If you ask they'll drop you right at the front, but you need to ask. Go to CANTINE cafe. There are loungers and it's run by a lovely lady who does fab food and drinks. Her burgers are the best ever and she makes them from scratch. She gives you a yummy little ice cream after your meal too. There is a bus stop just down the road from the hotel that takes you into rhodes. Avoid days when cruise ships are in as it gets very busy. The planes fly over regularly but we enjoyed seeing all the different ones and it really wasn't a problem. Would def recommend to come, good value for Greek experience 👍
