Semiramis Hotel

The entire 7-night stay was pleasant. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. A plus for everything that a restaurant means. Very tasty food and a very diverse evening buffet. We chose to eat most of the time at the hotel restaurant. Congratulations to the chefs, waiters and the manager Mr. Savvas. Very good live music on Sunday evenings and evenings to learn traditional Greek dances.

This was our first visit to Semiramis Hotel and our first visit to Rhodes. On arrival we were greeted by a welcoming receptionist. We were located a room on 2nd floor, unfortunately the guest lift was out of order but the receptionist had arranged for a colleague to take our cases in the staff lift. This was very much appreciated. Our room was facing the pool, it was clean, modern and nice, but not much storage for 2 people for 2 weeks. The shower room was very small, but neither of us being very big, we coped. The room was cleaned daily. There was tea, coffee and water. We were half board. Breakfast was great lots of choice. I am coeliac and always had plenty to eat! Evening meals were good too, lots of choice and lovely salads. The manager did offer me gluten free bread, deserts and cakes. All the dining staff were great Very attentive and friendly. The young man always brought my husband a tea spoon for his desert! We ate out a few times just for a change. We had drinks at the bar a few times, again lovely staff, very friendly and attentive. The pools was cold, but refreshing in the heat. We were always able to get a sunbed although the area is small. The girls at the pool bar were again very friendly and attentive. The hotel is close to a pebble beach but there is a steep hill. Some of the surrounding area is very run down, which is a shame. There is a well stocked supermarket down hill first right. We enjoyed amazing sunsets drinks at George's Bar opposite the beach. We had a great meal at Oceanfront restaurant in Rhodes town. 15 min walk to Rhodes Old Town which was lovely. Had a nice meal in Hermes. We done Red Bus Tour thought it was a great way to see all the sights. Done boat trip to Symi, Monestry and St George Bay, which was a lovely day out. Fantastic 2 weeks.
