Overall, we had a very pleasant 7-night stay.
The resort enjoys a beautiful setting against the mountain, surrounded by greenery and offering stunning views over the coastline and beach strip below. It is also conveniently located just a short drive from Rhodes Old Town, with plenty of tavernas and beach clubs nearby. The hotel itself has its own beach, easily accessible through a private tunnel.
The property offers an impressive range of facilities, including three large swimming pools, tennis and basketball courts, a well-equipped gym and Spa, a clothing boutique, a food and drinks shop, a yoghurt corner, and a very convenient car rental desk in the lobby. A special mention goes to Rodos Cars and the lovely and charismatic Georgia, who is always ready to share excellent tips and suggestions for exploring the island.
Bonvoy recognition was outstanding and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The Bonvoy team is led by the charming Anna Maraka, who truly goes above and beyond to make elite members feel at home, ensuring that upgrades, amenities and benefits are provided according to your tier whenever possible. Her personal attention and genuine hospitality made our entire 7-day vacation truly special.
Another excellent Bonvoy benefit is the reserved breakfast area on the terrace for elite members — a huge advantage during peak season, when the hotel is extremely busy. We also very much appreciated the weekly cocktail reception, where the GM and Anna personally meet and greet guests: a lovely touch and a perfect example of genuine Greek hospitality.
The main restaurant, L’Onda, is beautifully located on a terrace overlooking the coastline and offers both Greek and Italian menus, with enough variety to satisfy different tastes. A very special mention goes to the lovely Athina, who welcomes you warmly and takes care of you from the moment you arrive until you leave. A big shout-out also to Efi for her professionalism and attentive service.
If I had to point out a couple of negatives, the overall atmosphere created by some guests was occasionally below what one might expect from a resort of this level, with quite a few noisy children and some inconsiderate behaviour from families around the common areas. This may, of course, also be a consequence of travelling during the extremely busy August peak season.
From an architectural point of view, while the lush landscaping and surroundings are beautiful, the main building itself is essentially a large concrete structure cascading down the hillside over 12 floors. Functional, certainly, and perhaps not exactly an architectural highlight, but still undoubtedly one of the most attractive properties in the area.
That said, what really makes this hotel stand out is its people. Throughout our stay, the staff were consistently friendly, smiling and extremely helpful, always ready to provide whatever assistance was needed.
Congratulations to the GM, Georgios Diamantakis, for putting together such a wonderful hospitality team.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come again!

My stay at the Sheraton Rhodes Resort was an experience I will genuinely never forget. The hotel itself is beautiful, but what made my stay truly special was the people I had the pleasure of meeting — especially Alexandra Lorenzou and her cousin Dimitris Theodorakis.
Alexandra deserves a special mention. From the first moment I met her, she was exceptionally kind, warm and welcoming. There was something genuinely special about the way she interacted with me — always with a beautiful smile, incredible kindness and a warmth that went far beyond what you would normally expect from hotel staff. Every conversation and every moment with her made my stay a little more memorable. She has a wonderful personality and an incredible ability to make people feel comfortable and appreciated. Meeting Alexandra was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my trip to Rhodes.
I would also like to give my sincerest thanks to Dimitris. He was always there for me and my family, incredibly attentive and ready to help whenever we needed anything. His professionalism, generosity and genuine willingness to make sure we were comfortable did not go unnoticed. My family and I truly appreciated everything he did for us.
What impressed me most was that both Alexandra and Dimitris made us feel like more than just guests. Their kindness felt genuine, and that is something you remember long after leaving a hotel.
The Sheraton Rhodes Resort should be extremely proud to have people like Alexandra and Dimitris as part of its team. They represent the very best of Greek hospitality and made our stay an experience we will always remember.
Thank you, Alexandra and Dimitris, for everything. You made my time in Rhodes truly special, and I hope to come back one day. ❤️🇬🇷

I had mixed feelings about this hotel. There were some genuinely good points, but overall it did not feel like the full 5-star experience I was expecting.
The hotel itself is clean and well maintained, and the general location is convenient. Having a supermarket inside the hotel and another one just outside is very handy, especially for families. The spa was also excellent and one of the highlights of the stay.
However, the food was quite mediocre and not what I would expect from a 5-star hotel. We were staying on a half-board basis, and I found it ridiculous that drinks at dinner were not included — even basic water or coffee had to be paid for separately. I understand that some hotels charge for alcoholic drinks, but charging half-board guests for water at dinner feels excessive.
Another disappointing point was the bottled water in the room. We only received two small bottles when we checked in. The next day, when we asked the cleaning lady for more, we were told that water is not provided every day. This makes no sense to me, especially in a hot destination like Rhodes where water is inexpensive and should be a basic courtesy in a 5-star hotel.
The lifts were also a major issue. The entire hotel seems to be served by only three lifts, so you should expect queues and waiting almost every time you need to go up or down.
The atmosphere was also not always the most pleasant. During our stay, the hotel seemed to be heavily dominated by one particular group of guests — from a country that's well not very nice to say the less — and some of the behaviour around the hotel was not especially considerate.
Overall, the hotel has good facilities, is clean, and the spa is great, but the food, extra charges, limited room water, lift delays and general atmosphere made it feel below the standard I expected from a 5-star resort.
