Albatros Hotel

We stayed at the Albatros hotel in Katerados/Santorini for two nights in May 2026. We were there with a group of (bicycle-)bikers enjoying the Kyklades. It was the first night after arriving and the last night before departure from Santorini. We had bed and breakfast at Albatros. But the breakfast was really poor. I.E. there was no müsli for us as bikers. Just cornflakes and something like chocoflakes or so. That's not what I expect as biker (and what's standard in all other hotels). That there was a lot of maintenance work and painters during our stay I dont mention. But the showercabin of our room was forgotten. There was only one wing of the door working, the other was missing and replaced by a plastic foil. And there are lots of mosquitos - an no flyscreen at the window or the terrace door. Nothing at all. So one of our nights was really horrible - and we stung all over. And the balkony furniture in front and at the side of the hotel was in a qualitity that it will be waste the next week. The hotel got a nice pool, is nearby to the bus station, the cretan bakery with it's fine goods and the preferred Katerina's Restaurant. I was asked by our travel provider how it was. After telling them i.e. about the shower door they answered me, now its fixed. OMG. Don't they know at Albatros to fix things *before* travellers arrive? There are some more details I could tell, but I wont. Conclusion: There are several hotels nearby with a better quality for an equal rate.

Albatros Hotel is a 4-star hotel, behind the hotel there is a blue-top church to take pictures, while the room style is simple and elegant, from the balcony you can see beautiful gardens and pools, which is very comfortable, the staff is also friendly.

We had a wonderful stay at Albatros Hotel in Karterados, Santorini! The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay special. Special thanks to Bana & Maria!! The breakfast buffet was delicious and the pool area was relaxing and very beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for exploring the village and accessing the beaches and attractions of Santorini. We highly recommend Albatros Hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful island!
