Allure Suites

I've been traveling 1-2 times per month for over 40 years, both professionally and personally, and this was by far the best environment that I've encountered to date. First, the accommodations. They were spectacular. We had an upstairs living room with bath and a downstairs bedroom with bath, WC, and a hot tub. All had AC controlled by us. The bed was comfortable and well appointed. Outside of the front door was a covered sitting area with table, chairs, and loungers. Everything was spotless and high quality. We were very comfortable. Second, the host. He took exceptional care of us, seeing to all of our needs. Each evening we selected a breakfast ensemble which was delivered to our sitting area outside where we could appreciate the view of the sea. Whether it was restaurant recommendations, shopping, or arranging for transportation, he was always available and immediately took care of it for us. He even took time to play and talk with our little Yorkshire Terrier who accompanies us everywhere. Our room was restocked and cleaned daily. Not touched up ... cleaned. Third, the location. The village and shopping are just down the hill; an 8-10 minute walk. Buses stop a few blocks from the hotel. A walking trail runs past almost immediately out the front door that progresses along the ridge line for many miles/km. Even when the area was seething with heat, a nice breeze came up off the water and made sitting outside very pleasant. We would sit out with our cards and wine until well after sunset. Nights were quiet, when we could sit on our outdoor space and watch the sunsets over the Aegean Sea as we speculated on life on the islands in sight. It was my most pleasant experience to date and a great value compared to what I have paid elsewhere. In all of my travels through Greece, this is definitely the place that I want to return to.

Our recent stay at Allure Suites with Panos & his wife as our hosts was unforgettable. The only thing I wish we could have changed was to stay longer. Before we arrived in Santorini, Panos called us to ask if there was anything we needed, including transportation from the port. From the moment we arrived we were treated with great hospitality. He handled our luggage, gave us a rundown of the island & its history & answered all of our questions...& even surprised us with a room upgrade. He showed us around the Azure Suite & explained how everything worked, making us feel completely comfortable. Panos and his wife delivered breakfast to us with champagne was delivered directly to our room. When it was time to check out Panos went above and beyond by arranging transportation and even having our luggage delivered to our next hotel so we could go straight to our tour without any stress. After moving to another hotel closer to Fira for a few nights, we quickly realized how much we missed staying at Allure Suites. On our second day there, Panos called to let us know we had accidentally left clothes in our room. We offered to come pick it up ourselves, but he insisted that as long as we were still in Santorini, we were still his guests. He arranged to have our belongings delivered to our new hotel. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Allure Suites. The hospitality was above and beyond. This place is an absolute must-stay, and whenever we return to Santorini, there is no question that we will stay here again.

If Belinda Carlisle is correct and “heaven is a place on earth” then this IS THE PLACE. We rented the suite with the hot tub. Enormous suite by European standards with two separate balconies and large bathroom and a luxurious living room. The staff is absolutely amazing and are incredibly attentive to any need that you might have….like needing a table to play dominoes on out on the balcony. The breakfasts that are provided, again out on the balcony if you prefer, are just incredible. Yes, “heaven is a place on earth” and it’s the Allure Suites in Santorini.
