We just stayed for the fifth time at Thira’s Dolphin, a small family hotel with 17 rooms located in Akrotiri, near the old Venetian fort. It is an address we appreciate a lot for its calm, simple, and authentic atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of Fira or Oia. The welcome from Kyriaki and Antonis is always warm, attentive, and natural. You feel more like you are in a family home than in an impersonal establishment. The hotel has a large private closed parking lot, which is a very appreciated advantage in Santorini when driving. The situation is excellent for discovering the south of the island, the archaeological site of Akrotiri, the Red Beach, Vlychada, the lighthouse, but also for radiating out to Thira and Oia. The view is one of the great assets of the place: spectacular 360° view, with an unobstructed view of the caldera, Thira, and Oia. The Akrotiri area also offers numerous restaurants for all budgets, easily accessible from the hotel. For those seeking a more peaceful, family-friendly, and less commercial Santorini, Thira’s Dolphin is a very nice address.

We enjoyed this hotel,the quiet ,the magnificent view it is surrounded by the sea ,the room very well,large terrace. Very quiet village qqs restaurants.. A little isolated Akrotiri .( after the earthquake) Everything was fine except breakfast.
