We stayed in the Deluxe Suite, and while it is definitely not a four-star hotel, it was a great experience. THE GOOD: - Stunning view. You really won't get a better one anywhere, unless you're paying top dollar for a hotel that's alone on some kind of a rock outcrop - Friendly and helpful check-in guy and porter (carried our bags from front desk which is in another location with no fuss or complaint) - Enormous. More space than 2 people need, and 4 would be comfortable as long as they don't mind a less deluxe bed. Two bathrooms! The suite has a funky, cave-y kitschy charm -Hot tub! THE NOT SO GOOD: - Condition of the entire suite is so-so. One of the showers didn't work all that well (control valve was broken or something). Various other things just not in great condition or high-quality to begin with - NO A/C IN THE BEDROOM! To me this is inexcusable. Thank god it wasn't too hot in late September, but it was borderline, and summer would likely be awful. The only AC unit was in the living/common room - VIDEO CAMERA monitors everything that happens on the terrace/hot tub. I would say the benefit of this for "security" does not outweigh the loss of privacy. Be advised. Overall, as long as your tastes are not overly luxurious, it's a decent spot with a great view.

This place was wonderful, the suite we stayed in was wonderful, and we spent every night in our private jacuzzi admiring the lights and moonlight on the caldera. The room is right in the middle of all the picture spots of Oia, so we woke up early one morning and were able to snap amazing photos with little trouble dodging hordes of people. All that said, the staff here is even better than the suite was, by a mile. They’re down to earth and treat you like friends and politely chuckled at me when I asked for a reservation at a touristy place on the main drag, instead making us a reservation at a place set back from the busy area and the food/sunset was amazing. They took the time to give us advice on where to go in Crete the day we were leaving and just all of them exceeded my high expectations for employees at a place like this. Wonderful. Thank you all for how kind and helpful you were.

We were looking forward to staying here but we're very disappointed. Upon arrival no complimentary water. When we went into the room, there was an unpleasant smell. The room wasn't clean. The sofa and sheets had stains. Shower wouldn't drain and toiletteries were used. Hair was over the floor and bed. Dirty sticky dishes and stove. Due to power cut there was no ac, no light, no wifi and coffee maker didn't work. We were literally left in the dark. The bed on the patio was dirty and so was the seating area. When we checked out early and mentioned all the above the lady at the reception became rude and defensive and just brushed us off saying sorry we didn't meet your expectations and that it had been windy and therefore it was dirty, maybe outside but not inside. There wasn't even an attempt to apologize or offer some sort of compensation I am sorry at $270 a night, you can expect the room to be clean, lotion not to be used and no stains. We also didn't appreciate having the cctv camera pointing at the supposedly private pool nor the drones flying close to the pool. I would not stay here again or recommend this place to anyone.
