Kavalari Hotel

In Santorini this is our go to place. Modesty priced, great breakfast, top notch service. But the view is by far the best. It doesn’t get any better. You are staying right on the caldera , you eat breakfast or have a drink with the view to die for. If they served lunch I’d stay on the patio all day. Love this place and views.

Very disappointing experience. When we arrived, we were told we could not stay in the room we had originally booked and were forced to pay extra for a different room on top of what we had already paid. The service was also inconsistent and unfair. We asked for beach towels and were told that the hotel did not provide them. However, shortly afterward, we saw other guests ask for beach towels and receive them without any problem. The Wi-Fi was essentially nonexistent in the room, making it very difficult to stay connected. The shower amenities were poor quality and below what you would expect from a hotel at this price point. Overall, the combination of being moved from our booked room, inconsistent service, lack of Wi-Fi, and poor amenities made for a very frustrating stay. I would not recommend this hotel.

Worst experience of my life in a hotel. Apart from the view, everything else sucks. Wet room full of midges, paint falling to shreds, mold everywhere in the room, hence the dehumidifiers. But the worst part is that if it rains the room (room 21) is flooded but not only a little, with the electric wires lying around on the ground, not too dangerous. In addition, the water flowed on the electrical panel, the latter burned out, normal. No other room available to relocate me, no solution offered, no refund or compensation offered. 15 cm of water in the room and the guy comes with a squeegee from the middle ages when at least he needed a lifting pump to empty it, knowing that he had replenish it in the night. In short I leave the hotel at 21:30, sneakers wet, no help from them to find another hotel or a solution with booking.com to refund me. Brief crap customer Service just like booking.com for that matter. Disgusted with Santorini, I won't go back
