Markakis Studios

Last minute add to our trip. We were staying further than we wanted to from Fira. We were able to get 2 rooms. The staff welcomed us the moment we arrived, walked us to our rooms. Explained how everything worked. I had a problem with the comfort of my single sized bed and they were very accommodating to make it more comfortable for me. I was very appreciative. It is a very short walk to the towns shopping, dining and the bus stop.

Wonderful Studios with great staff, location and great value for the price.. Staff: Paola and Joanna were very friendly and gave great recommendations on places to eat, shopping and help with bus & taxi information. the room was very clean and spacious. Location is a 5-7 minute walk to the Caldera and all shopping/restaurants, busses, taxis. Really fabulous studios, a little more upmarket than your average Greek accommodation. Ironically we only booked it because we saw it from the hotel next door where we were unable to rebook for our return to the island. Paula on reception is an absolute star, so helpful, nothing is too much trouble for her. The only slight criticism is that the equipment in the kitchen is absolutely minimal and if the weather turned it would be necessary to bring the table indoors.
