I booked this hotel almost last minute, so I knew I'd have to adapt and make exceptions for many of the things I usually consider in a hotel. Let's start with the positives: The location is excellent, both for its beautiful morning view—not only of the bay below—and for its easy access, by car or scooter, not too far from the city center and especially the old port. watch the planes taking off or landing from afar without being disturbed by their noise. The staff are very friendly, especially Dimitris, who is very helpful and kind to guests despite his inexperience due to his young age, and the young woman and, in general, everyone at reception. The quality of cleaning in the rooms isn't bad, except in one case where, for two consecutive days, the bed in the room belonging to the people I was staying with inexplicably wasn't made, clearly in need of a makeover. Bah! Let's move on to what's not working and what needs improvement, but here, I think, we'll have to really put in the effort. Parking is practically nonexistent, so if you have a car, be careful, as you might not find a spot when you return a little later than usual (you'll have to hope for a spot somewhere in the nearby narrow, dark, and sparsely populated street, otherwise you'll have to park far away). Breakfast is very basic, always the same, nothing new, and the quality is average to poor, verging on poor. It's not good. No one here expects a Lucullan breakfast, nor even the average to poor, consistently unchanging quality of breakfast. Regarding the rooms, the biggest issue is the bathrooms. Blind and windowless, and even that's not a problem. The door is difficult to close, and the shower has neither a stall nor a curtain, just a panel, so you have to be very careful not to flood the bathroom and almost the entire room. The pillows are very uncomfortable, but the small balcony is a nice touch, allowing you to sit outside and smoke or enjoy the view. Mosquito nets are nonexistent, and the air conditioning works just fine. On to cleaning and morning chaos. The doors and building, being dated, are not soundproofed, and the usual '80s-era routines are taking place. But is it possible that the two cleaning staff members have to yell, run, make noise with their footsteps and slippers, laugh, talk loudly, and so much more (what's the point of that "Do Not Disturb" sign outside the door?). They practically woke the other staff members up with their near-screams and their behavior, scraping tables, chairs, and beds in the next room, and not only that, but also violently slamming doors. Granted, it's also a concern for other guests to be considerate of others' sleep, but the noise we could hear very early every morning, from the kitchens preparing breakfast to the housekeeping staff (I'm referring to the floor with rooms 200 and up), was definitely very annoying. I urge the manager to carefully evaluate the people they send to clean and the resulting chaos. Provide more shower gel (not just two small bottles, but at least three or four) upon check-in, and especially consider closing the damned shower stall. The pool closes at 7:00 PM (early, in my opinion; it should at least be open for another couple of hours, or an hour). There's still a lot to improve, but the basics, let's say, are there. P.S.: Also, improve the TV signal with a satellite dish so you can watch other foreign channels. The tourist tax is very expensive. I find 10 euros a day a rip-off (but this is not the hotel's problem).

We stayed at this hotel the last week of August. The hotel has enormous potential enjoying a beautiful view of the bay below. They are probably in a transitional phase as they entered the anamar chain in March/April. The staff, with the exception of a girl in charge of the kitchen, has proved very professional and tries in every way to help the customer. Breakfast is good, especially the Greek yogurt that they put every morning, but also the croissants. The bathroom a bit dated but always clean as every day took place the change of towels. The hotel, which is located a little far from the city center, it takes 15/20 minutes to reach the center, should provide a shuttle for customers.

We had a great time staying at Anamar Skiathos Hotel. Chris and his team were so friendly, informative and helpful and extremely welcoming. The room was large and had fantastic views over the bay and had a great view of planes landing and taking off. There was loads to choose from at breakfast which I looked forward to each morning. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed daily too. The guy tended to the large pool and grounds on a daily basis too. He was also very friendly. The walk into town took around twenty minutes and it was a lovely walk down the hill, around the bay, past the cats, swans, boats, planes and tavernas. It was a great way to get your steps in each day. I would highly recommend this hotel and all it has to offer. I really enjoyed my two weeks at this hotel and wished that I could have stayed longer.
