Skiathos Princess

This was our fourth year here and we had a brilliant time again. The hotel, the rooms, the garden layout, pools and beach are all first class. Visits here include a very excellent breakfast. All the staff are wonderfull, we had particular contact with Katie in the dining room. The Reception staff are unbelievably patient and helpfull and I had many funny conversations with Konstantinos. My top friend though was Dafne the hotel manager, who after I had left my phone and cards unattened and spent 10 frantic minutes looking for them,magically produced them for me in reception. The hotel itself was lovely the pool fantastic and we had no problem finding a bed. The beds on the beach were plenty and the beach was really lovely. Breakfast had a wide selection of all sorts and Katie who welcomed us was lovely. If I had one criticism it was that the reception desk was lacking in local information, with nothing in English. The reception staff were helpful but nothing to browse for local restaurants or trips. The room we had was lovely with a nice balcony although we hardly used it. Room was big with a sitting area and bathroom with both shower and bath.

The breakfast is excellent, the rooms are tired and not 5 Star size, the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, the pillows were cheap and uncomfortable, balcony was small not five star, no umbrella. Lack of sockets in the room. Bed uncomfortable. Room was cleaned every day with change of towels. The pool area was full of loud kids taking up most of the sun loungers we could never get one. The beach was small and again full of kids. The beach umbrellas offered no shade at all. Drinks were expensive and there was no inside lounge serving drinks. This hotel is advertised as five star charging 5 star prices but is nowhere near five stars. Would not recommend if you want a quiet relaxing holiday without the sound of loud children who dominate the pool and the sun loungers. Restaurants and bars around the area (of which there aren't many) are nothing special and very packed, suggest you make a reservation if you can.
