Kritsa Hotel

Needing to catch an early ferry from Volos and not finding anything suitable in town, we decided to stay at Hotel Kritsa in Portaria having seen other good reviews online. We were not disappointed! The hotel and restaurant are nestled on the main square in the centre of the village. Our room was comfortably furnished with a little balcony overlooking the square. We had a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and air-conditioning (a must when temperatures are in the late 30s) The staff were really friendly especially Elein and we ate at the restaurant in the evening. Food was fantastic. With a very early start we didn’t get to sample the breakfast which everyone raves about however they kindly made up a pack-up for us. Great value and a lovely hotel

A guest house with character and tradition. The room we had was relatively small, although it was a double room. But it was very functional and with a very warm atmosphere. .His breakfast had traditional handmade pies, tarts, jams, and yeasty warm buns, pure temptation..His cuisine is purely traditional Greek and emphasizes local products. A truly beautiful experience that I would highly recommend.

The hotel is on a pedestrian street. There is a public parking lot not far away. the team is wonderful, the room very comfortable with a fireplace. The hotel's cuisine is excellent with homemade products from the farm. Very good stay
