El Convento Boutique Hotel

We were staying in a couple different places in Antigua (June 2026) and came across this hotel. Our stay was brief, but this hotel is gorgeous. Small, quaint but very nice. The staff was service oriented, the restaurant was excellent, and I would definitely return.

Hotel was way overpriced for what I saw. Would recommend Santa Domingo Hotel and Museum for the price I paid for upgraded room.

The hotel is really nice, attention to every detail, very classy. The location is horrific as it is central, so you can reach all the various points of interest / restaurants on foot. Just a couple of observations: the hotel does not have the heating, and so we got cold. Also for the services they COMPULSORILY include tipping for the staff, which I found incorrect. Tipping should be a choice or, if they make it MANDATORY, they would sooner put it directly in the price of food/drinks.
