Hotel Museo Casa Santo Domingo

It has a very cool decor reminiscent of the historic value of the place, which was previously a convent. It has a large team of staff, generally careful and helpful, ensuring a great service in the restaurant, pool and common areas. Our room was spacious and comfortable, bed and pillows great, offer amenities of good quality. Excellent breakfast, was the best of all we had in Guatemala. They offer dollar exchange at a rate close to that of banks, reasonably better than the country's exchange houses. As a suggestion, I think the reception can improve. It is very far from the main entrance of the hotel and on our arrival no one received us or indicated where the check-in was made. They are strict about the check-in time (15:00h), unable to release the room half an hour before, which I found quite bad considering the profile of the hotel. Bad service also to deliver the welcome drinks. Before arrival I tried to contact the hotel through the platform where I made the reservation and I did not get a reply. The website does not provide whatsapp number. Concierge apparently does not exist or does not work. So however well-trained the majority of staff, it seems that the hotel management is not present or is not actually attaching much to the attention with the guest. Anyway, it is a very good hotel and a great option in Antigua.

A dream place... every wall and every corner of the hotel holds many memories and much history. The service and the staff throughout the hotel are truly special. The food and the atmosphere in their restaurant is a whole experience... during one dinner, we enjoyed live piano music... the breakfasts were very good. The bed, bedding, and pillows were a pleasurable delight. The same goes for the towels... luxurious. The museums within the hotel are places that should be visited. The gardens are very well maintained.
