Villa Colonial

A stay without false note from start to finish. The hotel is located a little away from the city (1.5 km from the central park) in a very nice and wooded area. The price of an Uber to reach the center is paltry, of the order of 2-3€. The hotel resembles a miniature reproduction of the city of Antigua: small park, fountains, small squares and pretty colorful buildings. The outdoor areas are very well maintained and even have a (slightly) heated swimming pool. The view of the surrounding volcanoes is beautiful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well decorated as well. It is very quiet, we slept very well. Breakfast is included in the room rate, a choice between 3 or 4 courses depending on whether you prefer sweet or savoury. The restaurant is open until 21:00 at a slightly higher price than in the city. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. We paid 80€/night about with breakfast.

I stayed here recently for 3 nights. The room adjoined a street where there was some traffic, including during the night, so this could make it difficult to sleep. Depending on the day, there was either a limited choice at breakfast or no choice at all, and portions were small. The hotel is quite along walk from the centre of town.

Beautiful colonial-style hotel with cozy courtyards and mini streets, with stunning views of the volcanoes. During breakfast, they watched the volcano erupt, which was very impressive. Choice of breakfast menu, serving with beautiful decoration, small portions.
