The Royal Palace Hotel

Nice hotel, rooms about size of American hotel rooms. Bathroom and bathtub/sower combo small. Staff not as friendly or attentive as other hotels we stayed at while in Hong-Kong but took care of things quickly (we had problems with toilet twice during our 5 day stay). Attached to mall, public transport easily accessible, taxis easy to get. Walking distance to many of the destination markets - flower, goldfish, ladies markets as well as other street markets. Lots of restaurants both more upscale/touristy and more local

We chose this hotel for our stay in Hong Kong. The location is excellent and the breakfast was amazing! Service and staff were also great! They gave us non cleaned room with strange smell in the beginning, but we asked for a new one and we got a nicer room. The only con is that the room is not so big and there is not enough space to put your clothes. They don't have blackout curtains and not blinds. The sun wakes you up actually. Other than that I would recommend this hotel. It is worth the money.

I stayed 3 nights and it was 4 of us. 2 adults and 2 teens. We were not expecting luxury or space, however at no point did we.have hot.water and on the first morning there was no water at all. We were given a bucket of water! The receptionist doesn't speak English, just basic "check -in" words. The location is good and.there were other hotels in the same building. So maybe try one of.those. 2 lifts and not long.to wait.
